It was very clean and tidy, very confortable room and hosts were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay!

Giselle Buda Castle stands out for its distinct identity, which seems to consciously distance itself from the more conventional standards of hospitality. It is one of those places that does not merely offer a stay, but invites guests to interpret the experience in their own way.

From the moment I arrived, I found myself rethinking my relationship with time: the room, originally scheduled for 3 pm, was kindly rescheduled for 3.40 pm, giving me the chance to slow down and calmly enjoy the atmosphere of the lobby, free from the pressure of the usual tight itineraries.

During the four nights we spent as a couple in room 107, I appreciated a deliberately minimalist, almost intimate conception of space. The bed, accessible from one side only as the other is against the wall, and flanked by a single bedside table, encourages an arrangement that favours closeness and minimises any sense of dispersion, even in the most everyday movements. A solution that can prove particularly significant for those travelling with a companion.

The absence of a TV fits seamlessly into this philosophy: a discreet invitation to focus on what one considers truly important, without distractions.

The approach to room management is also interesting: in my case, tidying and cleaning were carried out only on request. This choice can be seen as a commitment to sustainability and to encouraging guests to take responsibility for managing their own space.

The bathroom features elements with a distinctly ‘well-loved’ character, which help to create a retro, evocative and instantly recognisable atmosphere.

Breakfast is consistent with the rest of the experience: I found the options to be extremely understated, both in texture and flavour, almost as if to leave complete freedom to individual preferences. Even the presence of particularly ripe fruit can be interpreted as a sensitivity towards the issue of reducing waste.

Overall, to describe this stay as “standard” would be limiting.

Piękne wnętrze, miła obsługa, dobre śniadanie. Przytulny, kameralny klimat. Gorąco polecam.

Die Einrichtung und die Zimmergröße

Maga az épület szép. A régi építészet és a modern dekoráció elegáns találkozása.
A szobában az ágy, a tapéta, a bútorok csodásak. Nem kávézunk, de kapszulás kávéfőző is van.
A közlekedés egyszerű (16,16A, 916). A Budai várnegyed egyébként is szép.
