Está maravilloso el hotel. Tiene múltiples pisos, tres albercas, salida directa a una playa muy hermosa.
El personal era super amable.
El cuarto muy romántico y escondido: con lámparas!
Todo super bien!
Everything, first time staying in a hotel in Vallarta and I loved it, the view from the room to the sea was amazing
The rooms and private beach were absolutely beautiful. The beach was very dramatic with rock formations and shells. Best sunset I've ever experienced.
Would have liked more food choices but only had breakfast. It was a one night stay and Uber was available.
It’s a beautiful property on the beach, the location is spectacular.
The restaurant is very good.
The staff are wonderful, so helpful and friendly
My only concern is all the steps up and down, there’s a lot of stairs!
My husband is getting a bit old for all of that but it’s a charming, rambling very quirky property. We were on the ground floor and it was 4 floors up to the street level reception.
As long as you’re aware and fit, you’ll love it!
Loved our rooms location and size. Exquisite views almost on the beach.
Every time my husband put on his sleep apnea machine it fused the room. The renovation is great but the electricals weren’t up to date.
Everything was exceptional! The management, represented by Grant, went above and beyond expectations to make this trip one of our most memorable to Puerto Vallarta. Thank-you and we hope to see you soon.

This hotel has serious moisture problems and requires a major renovation. A hotel employee told us that the occupancy is only about 30%, so this would actually be a good time for the owner to take care of these issues. The foundations and walls absorb water from the outside, which caused the plaster on the wall next to our bed to crumble and fall off.
It seemed that the staff tried to hide the cracked wall from us. The pillows were arranged in such a way that only after lifting them could you see what was actually behind your head while sleeping. Overall, the room had many unfinished details and damages. It looked as if someone had vandalized the room the previous night and the hotel had only partially covered it up with some paint.
I am sure that the person preparing the bed saw the condition of the walls. As a hotel guest, I should not be given a room with damp and damaged walls.
During check-in, the receptionist entered the room before us and claimed that on the first day she did not notice that the walls were cracked or that there were water stains behind the pillows. Her attitude was also very arrogant and unhelpful when we tried to discuss the issue. Perhaps she simply did not check the room carefully. When I asked about an upgrade at check-in, we were refused and told that we would have to pay an additional $200. Later, however, a hotel employee told us that the hotel was only about 30% occupied. Could we really not have been given a room in better condition?
The road leading to the hotel from the main street is uneven and rocky. There is no sidewalk, and you have to drag your suitcases over large stones.
There is no staff at the hotel after 10 p.m. During breakfast there is only one person serving guests, which results in long waiting times to be attended. The breakfasts themselves are prepared using very low-quality ingredients, which was disappointing and far below the standard one would expect.
The hotel has enormous potential due to the beautiful views
We had a beautiful and cozy stay. The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to accommodate their guests. Our room was stunning with amazing views of the ocean and so much space. The food in the restaurant was amazing! Definitely go for a meal or two.
Firstly , Lupita was our initial guest services contact, and we would say, she was less than welcoming. She in the presence of other travellers made us shrink for using Booking.com. She refused to change our room without an extra 100$ US fee.
Lupita was unwilling to help us or move us from a very dark inside room off the main dining level.
We dropped our bags, even though the room was cleaned, we had to leave the resort bye taxi, (ages 78, 69), and return at 3 pm for check in.
When we returned, Grant was on duty, He actually came out to curb and helped us in. We asked if hotel was to capacity and if not could we locate to where we’d get an easier access to the ocean below.
He moved us to a “similar size” room 2 flights below dining area 2 flights closer to the sea. It was brighter. Grant then helped us with our bags as well Jerry I think.
The room appeared so much brighter due to the outer location!
Some staff are better suited to the small details!
Then Grant actually found and returned my Yeti and my phone charge, from the office check in area!
Made our night, !!!
Lupita, unwavering as we did not book direct.
Us seniors didn’t realize the whole ‘guests of a lesser god’ syndrome but are acutely aware now!
The food was great. The staff at Quinta Maria Cortez was extremely hospitable, kind, and generous. My fiance and I stayed there when the cartel decided to burn some buses and cars. The staff kept us fed, and went above and beyond making us feel safe and valued.
This is the safest, most beautiful hotel. We had ocean views and a private beach out side that is a 10 minute walk from Zona Romantica. After speaking with locals, families that vacation often, and others, they assured us that the cartel attack in Jalisco has never really happened so everyone adapted very well and it was still an amazing experience. We HIGHLY reccomend this stay to anyone and everyone.
We loved it.
I would've liked more options when it came to authentic Mexican food! All the food we had was amazing and you are surrounded by good food but if you plan to stay at the hotel it is more accustomed to travelers which isnt necessarily a bad thing!
