Kelleys Island Venture Resort

The pool was disgusting and needed cleaning. They ran out of coffee and had no solution to resolve the issue. The grounds needed cleaned. The rooms were okay.

The air condition didn't work in our room and the bed was very hard and comfortable.

The biggest disappointment was the cleanliness. The rooms were not as clean as expected, with dust and spider webs in several areas. The pillows were dirty, and there was no linen provided for the pull-out sofa.
The hot tub was also disappointing. It was more like a small pool and did not feel like a traditional hot tub.
In our second room, the AC was extremely noisy, so we had to turn it off.
Unfortunately, our original room also flooded. I understand that heavy rain and weather can happen, but we were told this side of the resort has flooded repeatedly during heavy rain for several years. If this is a known issue, it seems like something that should be addressed to prevent guests from having to deal with the same problem repeatedly.

The pool needed to be attended. The outside areas of the hotel need to be powerwashed.

Lots of spiders, cobwebs, dead mosquitos in our room, unclean.

The nights we stayed there all the outside lights were off, no one at the front desk and we had to use the flashlight on our phones to get to our car for a night drive around the island.

Bed and pillows not very comfy

The hotel is showing some age; especially considering the price point.

There was no internet available. The guest internet did not work very well, thus we could access important work emails. The television had very few channels and the channels it did have were not working most of the time we were there. The pool and hot tub were dirty. The bed and couch were not comfortable to sleep on at all. We paid for four nights and ended up leaving after three nights. That is all we could take.

Did not like there was no kitchen sink and there was alot of empty space

We especial booked here because of the pool. But the pool was dirty. Really needs cleaning. Other than that we loved our suites and the resort was beautiful! Staff was accommodating.

The pool and the pool side chairs were terrible. All need to be updated and or replaced. I didn’t want to sit on the nasty chairs or swim in the dirty pool.

The room did not include an iron and ironing board. We had to go to the desk for that.
The door doesn't automatically lock when you leave the room. It was an entire day before I realized I had been leaving my room and belongings unsecure.
The television was hard to operate well. One day it wouldn't turn on, the next day the volume would not work.
