The place was absolutely beautiful!
When we checked in we were supposed to have a three-bedroom suite handicap accessible. It was not handicap accessible. We requested a shower chair to make it easier for the person who was handicapped and they sent us a transfer chair. We also requested a toilet seat that would be raised with grab handles on either side. They could not provide us with that and the transfer chair (which is not a shower chair) was absolutely useless because there was nothing for the person to grab onto in the shower!
Holiday inn vacation Club is a major corporation and I cannot understand why they could not rent a shower chair and a toilet seat for 5 days for us! I don't think it's because they don't have the money! I would think that they would want to show Goodwill towards their customers by helping them in a situation like this. Obviously they didn't care!
No matter how beautiful a place is or the amenities it has, being uncomfortable in a three bedroom suite, which we paid a lot of money for, does not make for a comfortable vacation!
I would appreciate it if bookings.com could compensate Us in some way for the inconvenience of our stay in Myrtle Beach.
