There was a breakfast? Common area wonderful, room lighting wonderful. Comfortable bed,

The faucet in bathroom splashed water backwards. Fridge wasn't working all the time.

Pros:

The restaurant/common area

Cons:

The rooms were exceptionally small. A person had to step aside to pass one another. I hated the barn door on the bathroom.

Great location, fantastic staff
Pros:

Great location, just one stop away on the metro from the city centre.
Breakfasts were amazing, a big shout out to Carl in the kitchen, thank you!
Rick in the bar went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, always friendly and anticipating what we would like without having to ask, a huge asset to the hotel, thank you!
Andy in reception was really helpful when we asked for a late check out, thank you!
All in all, it's the staff that make this hotel what it is, thank you again!

Cons:

The invoice system could be better, very complicated to understand, two A4 sheets! Plus we were charged extra for car parking when we had returned our hire car. But this was rectified by a pleasant member of the reception staff, very helpful.

Disappointing overall—the hotel looked good on paper but fell short on comfort, amenities, value, and location.
Pros:

It was clean and had a Keurig in the room and a Peloton in the workout area, but even those had issues.

Cons:

Quite a bit. On paper, the hotel checked many of the boxes we were looking for, but the actual experience was disappointing.

The room itself was uncomfortable. The bed was very hard, and the towels felt rough and inexpensive. There were not enough coffee pods or cups, so we had to request more, and the only creamer provided was a cheap, sweetened variety rather than plain half-and-half. There was also no drinking-water station on the guest floors, so we had to go down to the lobby whenever we wanted to refill our bottles.

Housekeeping is only provided on the third night, which did not feel frequent enough. The complicated digital thermostat repeatedly reset during the night and would not keep the room cool. The bathroom light is controlled by a motion detector that cannot be disabled, so it turns on brightly whenever someone enters during the night. The curtains were also difficult to open and close, and our view was of an empty office building. We could hear children running through the hallway late at night as well.

The fitness area was another major disappointment. I chose this hotel partly because I am a regular Peloton rider, but the bike did not allow me to clip in with my Peloton shoes. The workout room was uncomfortably warm—around 75 degrees—and the thermostat could only be lowered by two degrees. The water station was broken and dispensed only warm water.

There is no complimentary breakfast. The lobby restaurant was overpriced, with a breakfast burrito costing around $20. A server told us to “help ourselves” to the self-serve coffee, only for us to discover that we had been charged $6 for each cup. For the rest of the stay, we went across the street to the Best Western, where breakfast was better and about half the price.

The advertised rooftop area was also misleading.

Pros:

Room was exactly as pictured, and the staff at the front desk and the bar were friendly and hospitable. An excellent place to grab a drink before going out for the evening.

Cons:

Parking is difficult to find (although the property offers parking for a fee) and there are not a ton of restaurants in the area to choose from, especially for people with dietary restrictions.
