Pros:

Everything in this hotel is amazing. Location is ideal to reach out downtown Kyoto by a short walk to Nishiki Market, trendy neighborhood with sophisticated stores nearby. Rooms are spacious and neat. Tasteful restaurant with local preparation of cheese and pasta. Upscale décor and charming sake bar. Breakfast is a feast. Friendly and efficient staff. Hotel also features a gym, a spa, a laundromat and shared on-sen on the lower floor. Also you have the service to send your luggage to your next hotel or airport. I would gladly stay here again!

Cons:

The only down-side is each floor have glassed corridors facing room windows. So you might be a little concerned with privacy with blinds opened.

Overall very happy with this hotel, lovely staff, great breakfast and comfortable beds.
Pros:

The common areas are styled beautifully. The hotel is in a lovely situation on a quiet, attractive street.

Cons:

I didn’t particularly like the aspect of our bedroom as it felt rather overlooked.

rather underwhelming experience
Pros:

excellent location, excellent visual impression, sleek design, very friendly and helpful staff, very quiet

Cons:

There are no closets at all. We had to misuse our suitcases as "furniture". Due to the crowdedness in the room, the cleaning was never carried out properly. Attention to detail was missing. Windows could not be opened. Artificial air all the time. Not enough ventilation in the bathroom.

super zentrale Lage, neuwertig und vgl grosse Zimmer mit schönem Onsen

Cons:

Gesamtranking auf 8, da mit dem 5 star Ansatz von Mitsui aus meiner Sicht weder die Bar um 22.00 schliessen sollte noch - und das war war das eigentliche Problem- ein so überschaubares Frühstück serviert wird:
- japanische Speisen, Keine
- Auswahl Buffet, Hm würde ich gar nicht so nennen. da bisserl Brot, Obst und salat den namen nicht verdient
- 5 Frühstück Sets zur Auswahl, Variation nicht erlaubt (kein Spiegelei zum Abocado-Toast, nach heftigem Insistieren konnten wir speck und gemüse gegen eier tauschen)

Nice facility and location, but the check-in and luggage storage staffs need to improve.
Pros:

Proximity to Kyoto train station as well as Kawaramachi shopping district. Firm, nice bed. Toilet being separated from bathroom. Looked like newly furbished.

Cons:

The check-in/out and luggage storage staffs could be more helpful, attentive, and quicker to respond to guests' need. They looked a little amateur. The staff had me wait a lot for me to check in, although there was only me who was checking in. Also, when I was trying to leave my luggage on my check-out day, there was no one to help me quickly enough.

Glad we splurged for a luxe onsen and comfy room
Pros:

Loved the onsen -- so spacious and never crowded! Location was great, room was big, and staff were so lovely

Cons:

It was fairly pricey, which I think is standard for Kyoto. We were happy with the property, but would have been even better if it was more affordable.

Beautiful hotel with location, onsen, size and breakfast all excellent.
Pros:

This hotel is really lovely and in a great location. The bedding was comfy, the location perfect, the onsen beautiful, the room size bigger than usual for a king size and the breakfast very good. We loved it so much we have changed another stay to a Mitsui.
We had dinner in the restaurant one evening and although small serves, it was delicious.

Modern High end hotel, unbeatable location, excellent service
Pros:

Location is unbeatable. The room was very confortable, quiet, modern and high end. Breakfast was delicious, excellent service.

Cons:

The view was horrible, disappointing. They billed me more than my reservation figure, but were nice about correcting it.

The room is not small, but is not well designed and does not have enough storage place and is less comfortable then smaller rooms.
