based on the reviews here on Booking.com, I had no expectations; rather, I was prepared to be disappointed. Boy was I wrong. We were pleasantly surprised when we stepped in the door..."wow, seems like a nice place". Then as we ascended the staircase leading to the lobby/reception area...we were blown away. This did not feel like a $55US a night hotel. And indeed, it wasn't. Prices were HEAVILY discounted because we were travelling in a slow season. Every member of staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed and comfortable at all times. Norman was happy to show off his city and gave us tips on where to shop and eat. Pappu in the restaurant was ever vigilant and ensured that we lacked for nothing at our daily breakfast. We were originally booked for 2 nights, with the intention of heading to Delhi for our last 3 nights in India. But we were tired after a month in India and Regenta felt so comfortable, that we cancelled Delhi and extended our Lucknow stay by a further 3 nights.

Poor quality aircondioner, uncomfortable bed, no proper water in toilet jet.

Restaurant services are poor. Example Breakfast service timings are 7:30-10:30 AM. Staff start winding up the buffet even when guests are having breakfast. It directly implies that second helping is not available if you are having breakfast around 10 am😒
I really appreciated how prompt and attentive the staff were; honestly, even better than what I’ve experienced at places like Hyatt or Hilton. The entire hotel was spotless, including areas like the carpets outside the rooms, which are often overlooked. While the food options were a bit limited, the taste more than made up for it. The room was a good size, well-maintained, and very clean. The bathroom stood out in particular, it was exceptional, especially with the bathtub.
Nothing major to point out. One small suggestion would be to add some plants or greenery outside, it would make the hotel look more vibrant and welcoming.

The service was extremely poor. The restaurant food was delayed both days by nearly 35 minutes.
We stayed at Regenta Central in total 9 days to explore Lucknow. The hotel is located in a very good area of Lucknow. The hotel is very good equipped, very clean and with a very good price-performane ratio. The staff is very professionell, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is enourmous and leaves nothing to be desired- great!!!!! Even in a medical issue Mr. Naumaan was very helpful to find the right solution!!
Hotel is centrally situated with easy approach to all kinds of travel modes, including metro. The building is big and very nicely done up interiors and decor. Property has sufficient parking space as well.
Room was big, specious and clean, having all necessary facilities, large TV, toiletries, tea/coffee sachets, water bottles, etc. Big window to room view. Room cleaning was done without asking.
Breakfast had big spread with different varieties to suit all kinds of tastes. Tasty preparations.
Staff was courteous and helpful.
The main entrance to the hotel lobby is through first floor. The entry at the ground level is non-descript and you need to take either stairs or lift to reach the Reception at the first floor. Dampener to the first impression of the property.
