A reasonable base to explore Hakodate from.
Pros:

Lobby was smart and new. Onsen is pretty good.
Rooms are fine

Cons:

The staff seem nervous and not so competent.
The bar only opens at 9pm, rather late. Location is not as good as the La Vista older hotel.

Really glad this was our first night in Hokkaido. Seafood delight and a lovely hot bath...
Pros:

We though the food was excellent... a cut above even the 4 Star Jp resorts we've tried. Breakfast buffet is great as everyone says... And the dinner totally impressed me. Also liked the quiet and the newness of the facilities and the top floor indoor/outdoor onsen. Shouldn't forget that staff surprised me with their unexpected English fluency. My Japanese sucks. So that was very helpful.

Cons:

Futon type beds are too hard for my old bones... Beds looked nice. But just not comfortable to us.

清潔感は最高でした！

Cons:

懐石料理でお刺身、お肉など食材は新鮮で拘って作っているのが良くわかるのですがお酒の飲まない家族ずれなどには時間がかかりすぎ！
