Fufu Hakone

We stayed for our honeymoon and from the start, Fufu Hakone has exceeded our expectations. The staff provided wonderful information about our booking and how to get to the station where Fufu can organise a pick-up service.

As soon as we arrived, we were asked to sit down and relax with our welcome bevvys and asked us to check our details for check in and select what we'd like to be served for dinner (Japanese Kaiseki Style Cuisine). You can also choose beforehand if you'd like the Kaiseki style or the Teppanyaki. I highly recommend you all try the Kaiseki for that full Ryokan feel!

Once ready, we were led into our room by the wonderful Maria and explained in detail, the room, the instructions (especially for the onsen) and every tiny detail. Btw, all drinks in the fridge were included in the rate so free of charge!!

The room was spectacular, the bidet opens and closes by itself automatically when you enter and exit, the vibe of the room was very romantic. Pajamas and lounge wear were provided and the cute Tabi socks!! I wish we could bring home hahaha.

The TV was big, the beds were comfy as! The room was really cleaned well and the highlight, was the bathroom with the private onsen 😍😍😍. It was such a relaxing stay and all the amenities included was truly posh.

There is also a public onsen if you would like to do that and there are refreshments including ice cream and cold drinks after your bath. I wish I went inside though but I just didn't have the time.

My husband and I truly enjoyed it and this was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip!! We would love to go again and we wished we stayed longer.

Staff service was phenomenal from the check in desk to the restaurant.

The food was DIVINE! It was lovely to meet Kazuki who took care of us that dinner explaining everything in detail. It was nice to get to know him too and what food he truly enjoys!

Overall, we LOVEEEEE IT. We can't explain how much we liked this place. A must try!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Everything was perfection. The service was top notch, food was so fresh and beautifully prepared, the rooms were pure luxury, and the onsens, views, and scenery very peaceful. Expensive but good value for price with everything you get.

Ons verblijf was in één woord: perfect! Vanaf het moment van aankomst tot aan het vertrek zijn we zeer aangenaam verrast en eigenlijk overdonderd door de geboden service (incl. de shuttle van en naar Gora station). De kamer was ontzettend ruim, van alles voorzien incl. uitgebreide amenities en fijne hotel kleren. Het privé hot spring bad was fantastisch. De publieke onsen is ook een aanrader en een oase van rust (het uitzicht is adembenemend). Het diner en ontbijt zijn van een ander level, namelijk Michelin niveau. We hebben ongelooflijk goed gegeten, met name het Teppanyaki diner zullen we het nog lang over hebben qua hoe bijzonder dit was. Het gehele verblijf was echt een ervaring die we niet snel zullen vergeten!

Beautiful hotel, very remote so access is hard- you need to be able to call a Japanese phone number for the shuttle. A lot of kids so it was noisy and killed a bit the romantic vibe

Foods is excellent for all dishes. Love them all. Ingredients very fresh and tasty.

Everything, the service is excellent, nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing but i love Japanese food.

Tutto perfetto, camera bellissima ed enorme immersa nel verde, con onsen all’interno.

Really comfortable and spacious rooms. Excellent meals included, wonderful taste and presentation.
