Lovely staff. Good facilities and good location. Really big room for us (family of 4). The room was excellent and we had four beds. Loved the complimentary breakfast and coffee machine

Quiet, good location, nice rooms & great staff.
Pros:

Enjoyed our stay in this hotel that is well located for walking to area sites. The rooms are compact, but fully appointed and the outdoor deck was great for a bit more space. As usual, the staff make the real difference in any stay and the enthusiasm, friendliness and helpfulness of our host Soda made our time in Kyoto truly enjoyable. We will return again when we get the chance. Thank you!

Small and charming hotel in the heart of Gion
Pros:

The location was amazing and the layout of the room was very neat. Spacious balcony with table and four chairs was welcome for breakfasts and relaxation.

Cons:

One of our primary reasons for booking the property was the outdoor space so finding out that the rooftop was closed - and has been closed for a while - was a bit of a disappointment.
