Could be a good hotel with a management change, but for now best avoided.
Pros:

If you can make it alive through the homeless encampment to your room the rooms are quiet.

Cons:

The location is usually convenient but the property operated during a homeless encampment / protest outside without notifying anyone with reservations. The facility while fairly new is suffering from poor maintenance compounded by uncaring staff who’d rather have customers swelter in uncomfortable rooms while gaslighting about the broken AC. I thought it was especially telling that the only management response to the street situation was to plug their restaurant which appeared deserted, probably for a good reason.

The staff is friendly and tries their best but they clearly have directions from the top to do as little as possible to help guests.

And while many hotels have switched to soap and shampoo dispensers this property continues the theme of broken and nonfunctional items to the point where you’re better off bringing your own supplies.

The hard sell of the taxi service as we were leaving was on brand. Clearly it’s all about the dinero with this hotel.

Lots of other places to stay so avoid this place.

Pros:

The property is new and the facilities are beautiful, everything is clean and they provide toiletries

Cons:

The AC in my room was not working we reported it to the front desk and they said they would come and check but there was no change. At the end of my stay when I was going to check out one of the front desk receptionist was rude and sarcastic when I asked about my taxi for the airport

Pros:

Buena ubicación, staff amigable, restaurante y alimentos muy buenos, sobre todo el desayuno.

Cons:

Lamentablemente hemos tenido que lidiar con algunas incomodidades causadas por una protesta ciudadana que bloqueó gran parte de las calles principales de la zona y esto sin duda afectó nuestra experiencia a la hora de salir a pasear; aún así pero recomiendo el hotel que de verdad es muy bonito.

Lo stile delle camere

Cons:

Sono capitata davanti a una tendopoli. Era impossibile accedere con il taxi davanti all hotel perché la strada era bloccata e davanti all’hotel c’erano centinaia di tende di manifestanti. Nessuno mi aveva avvertita di questo evento altrimenti non avrei mai prenotato.

Very dangerous place to stay

there’s hundreds of people in tents outside who won’t let you in yet the property don’t notice you upfront, if you booked for may-July 2026 CANCEL ASAP the people is very violent specially to children, is a very dangerous place to stay. And they keep you waiting at check out just for nothing. A waste of money and time.

Wonderful
Pros:

The hotel's historic architecture and environmental appointments were very pleasing and and location was absolutely convenient. It was very an easy walk to major sites and to catch transportation. Staff was amazingly helpful and made us feel welcomed. Breakfast was very tasty, well prepared and satisfying.

Cons:

Not all toiletries were available. Needed a toothbrush and had had to go to get one at a local shop nearby. Still smells like the chemicals used in the reconstruction.

Beautiful hotel newly renovated.
Had an old fashioned feel. High ceilings.
Very clean. The room was stacked with free drinks and snacks. All the staff were very nice and helpful. I would stay there again...

Un hotel muy lindo y céntrico.
Pros:

Mi estancia en Hotel Bellas Artes fue un encanto. Es un hotel muy bonito. El cuarto en el que me hospedé estuvo grande y super limpio y ordenado. Es la mejor habitación en la que me he hospedado.
El hotel esta super bien ubicado. Atrás esta el restaurante Cardenal, a unos pasos también esta la casa de los Azulejos y Bellas artes. El Zócalo esta a unos minutos caminando.
Muy bonito hotel y espero volver a la CDMX y hospedarme aqui.
