Great location to explore the city, lovely to and fantastic view of the Sassi off the upper lobby area
Parking is difficult if you are driving.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lo Stemma. Absolutely perfect location, easy drop of at the door, 1 minute walk to the central hub & immediate entry to the Sassi. The upper floor balcony looking directly over the Sassi was the cherry on top.

Ottima posizione della struttura in cima al Sasso Barisano e comoda per visitare a piedi tutti e due i Sassi. Piccolo luxury hotel molto curato, ottima accoglienza. La camera king superior molto spaziosa, letto e cuscini molto comodi. Ma soprattutto una vista eccezionale sul Sasso Barisano, proprio di fronte alla cattedrale, dalle due finestre munite di zanzariere e tende oscuranti a vetro. Bagno molto accogliente con luci colorate e piccola finestra anche questa con vista impagabile. Televisore a specchio e angolo salotto. Ottima colazione servita su un piccolo terrazzino con vista sul Sasso. Parcheggio pubblico a pagamento vicinissimo alla struttura.

Amazing location to explore Matera! The hotel is central with equal access to the 2 Sassi. Such a friendly welcome, with a clear explanation of how to explore the area. It felt like my home away from home . I liked it so much I stayed an extra night. The hotel is boutique style with 9 rooms and a generous balcony for all guests to enjoy a beautiful view of Sasso Barisano; One of the best views in my opinion. Breakfast can be enjoyed on this balcony or just a nice drink during the day. It was never crowded . The hotel is beautifully restored with such attention to detail; from luxurious bedding and comfortable beds to tall painted fresco ceilings and Elemis bath products . Most importantly…wonderful friendly staff! I highly recommend.
