Prima locatie, jammer van zwembad aan de overkant van de straat
Pros:

Groot hotel met ruime kamers. Beetje ouderwets (centrale airco bijvoorbeeld) maar heb je weinig last van. Verder wat je kunt verwachten van een goed hotel qua service.

Dichtbij MRT Huai Khwang Station (Exit 3). Met die blue line (+BTS) kom je makkelijk bij alle interessante dingen in centrum BKK. Je kunt ook een grab nemen natuurlijk.
Kleine 7/11 vlakbij.
Huai Khwang Night Market is goed en tot laat open. Izakaya restaurantjes kom je daar in de buurt ook tegen. Erg leuk.

Cons:

Fitness en zwembad is in een gebouw aan de overkant. We hadden sowieso weinig tijd maar die ene keer dat we dan net nog even konden gaan zwemmen had ik niet zo'n zin om naar de overkant te lopen met mijn spullen. Fitness had ik zeker gedaan als het in hetzelfde gebouw was geweest, maar na een workout wil ik gewoon naar mijn kamer kunnen lopen. Dit maakt dat ik een 7 en geen 8 geef.

Kleine dingen:
Ouderwetse televisie. Was net gewend aan dat de meeste hotels moderne tv met apps hebben. Hier niet. Alleen tv en nog slecht afgesteld ook. Nou kijk ik vrijwel geen televisie op vakantie, maar toch.
Houten vloer die niet goed aansloot (flinke kieren)
Douche ontkalken. Ja je kunt douchen maar als je die douchekop eens een keer zouden ontkalken heb je een veel betere douche.

Pros:

The hotel itself is a good standard and comfortable, but the description of facilities is misleading.
The room I booked said 337sq ft, 3 beds (1 double, 2 singles and a balcony). The room they initially gave us was about 260 sq ft, 2 single beds & no balcony.
Reception didn't seem to want to do anything about it so I asked to see the manager.
He found us the option of a bigger room, with 2 singles or the same size room with a double & single. There was a 1 meter square balcony that was not accessable & with the aircon on it.
Advertisements & photos show it having a big gym & reasonable pool. They are not in this hotel but in and shared with the Emerald hotel 150 meters up the road. Reception didn't tell us we needed a ticket so we had to walk back to get one. Pool is 20 meters long, the gym is great. Didn't ask but Emerald hotel looks posh & expensive.
This hotel is a 10 minute walk to the Huai Kwang MRT - very handy. Price was reasonable. Will I book there again? Probably not, although it was comfortable enough, I didn't like the deception.

The location! Staff are also extremely helpful

Cons:

This hotel advertises having a pool. That is not true. The pool is across the road at another hotel so that was really frustrating to find out at the last minute. I also booked a bigger room but I was put in a smaller one, because of some fault with the advertising. Management upgraded me and everything was sorted out ☺️
