Hotel was nice, but had awkwardness around my service dog.
Pros:

It was nice to be connected to the World Congress Center. The gym was nice as well.

Cons:

I had my service animal with me during my stay and made sure to notify the hotel in advance. Unfortunately, several interactions with staff throughout the trip made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

I travel extensively for work and intentionally choose higher-end hotels because of the additional challenges and needs that come with traveling alongside a service animal. Because of that, it was especially disappointing to have staff ask me to keep my distance from them, or to have a bellman refuse to bring my luggage into my room because he was afraid of dogs.

To me, my service dog is not simply a pet, she is medical equipment and an essential part of my daily life and independence.

Beyond those moments, there were several other interactions during my stay that left me feeling awkward and out of place, as though I was not the kind of guest the hotel typically welcomed. It made for a very discouraging start to my trip.
