Cons:

I was charged on my credit card for this stay by booking.com. Then I was charged again by the hotel when I arrived there. I was told by hotel staff that it was “just a hold for incidentals”. This turned into several hours spent from booking com staff and cc company staff to refund money for the duplicate charge.
