We wish we could have stayed longer.
Pros:

Unfortunately, we did not have the breakfast, although we will on our next visit. Our room was beautiful. We understand it was refurbished from its original form. The beds and pillows were exceptional, which is a big plus for us. The staff was excellent.

Cons:

There were no negatives.

Updated and clean blast from the past stay!
Pros:

We had a great stay at Rhodes Motor Lodge! The whole place has such a cool vibe—it feels retro and nostalgic while still being updated, comfortable, and modern. Everything was very clean, and you can definitely tell they’ve put a lot of thought and investment into renovating the property while keeping its character.

The bar was also a great addition and had an awesome atmosphere. Overall, just a really cool place to stay in Boone. We had a great time and would absolutely stay here again!

VERY disappointed!
Pros:

The remodeled check in area and coffee was really nice. The girl checking us in was nice also.

Cons:

The steps going up to the rooms were unpainted, rough, concrete missing in many places, and looked vvery unsafe for the price we paid and the description of the rooms. The room with a concrete floor with missing paint and missing pieces was very unexceptable to us, and looked and felt like we were in a bad neighborhood of a place that is not taken care of.
I got this as a surprise for my husband as part of a 50th anniversary trip, and I cried when I saw the steps, entryway to the room and the enitre room floor! This is NOT what I paid for! Very disappointing and misleading. We will not return!

Pros:

I loved anything about it. Great location, nice rooms, comfortable towels and super nice staff

Cons:

Beds were a bit too soft and walls a little thin. We didn't have a window, which I would have liked to have known about because we would have changed rooms

Excellent hotel. Stay away from the restaurant.
Pros:

The hotel was great.

Cons:

The restaurant. Not so great. It closes early, and they rushed us when they were ready to go. The bar closes early and is useless.

We went Back to the Future in Boone!
Pros:

The Retro theme. It is a beautifully restored Mid 20th century with some modern touches. The shower was excellent. There was abundant lighting. They had a cooler/ice bucket in your room. Modern alarm clock with charger built in. Two free bottles of water and a post card "greeted" us. Would definitely stay here again. The staff was friendly and took time to answer our questions. The dinner we had in the restaurant was delicious.

Cons:

The mattress needed more support, it was a little uncomfortable. The room we had was right next to the restaurant, so it could be a little noisy during business hours.

Nice spot for 1 night
Pros:

Retro motor Lodge had a good location with an excellent restaurant attached, easy parking near your room.
Staff friendly and responsive.

Cons:

Room was sparsely furnished. "Easy chair" was a beanbag on the floor, not accessible for those with limited mobility.
The fridge was barely cool, not cold. Had to ask for glassware as there was none in the room. Floors were cement, which was ok, but would have liked a bath mat for the bathroom.

This was the cutest property & prime location for us on this trip.

If i had to say anything negative it would be noise - from out room you can hear all the traffic from the main road.
