The location, it was in the middle of Varenna, close walk from the station and the ferry wharf.
Downstairs restaurant and mini supermarket around the corner was really convenient and fairly priced.
Check in was super smooth done via online prior to arrival, staff was available on WhatsApp during their operational hours (Gulia was very helpful and responsive)
Appreciated the snacks and drinks waiting in each rooms too
Some rooms had renovated vinyl flooring and older rooms had red carpet that shows its age a bit. Not a deal breaker

Great location, close to train station and ferry terminal. Also, very good facilities for a short stay. Friendly and very responsive owner/agent. We had a great stay.

Personnel très accueillant, souriant.
Les clés virtuelles sont très pratiques.
Le thé, café, petits sachets goûters, après-shampoing, bouteilles d'eau fraîches mis à disposition sont très appréciables.

Un petit savon déjà ouvert avait été laissé dans la douche.
La porte de la douche n'était pas évidente à fermer, elle s'est totalement décrochée le 3ème soir, mais a pu être raccordée très facilement le lendemain matin.
The location train station and the town was perfect. Having a restaurant next door was a big plus for getting a great breakfast.
A well situated hotel near the train station. The hotel has been modernised which was great. There is no reception when you come to check in. We usually won't stay at a place that doesn't have reception. We would stay here again though because it is in such a great location

At the hotel entrance there is a security door with code which is good. The problem is that it doesn’t seem to work well, so difficult to get inside even after several attempts, so standing outside on the footpath is not ideal

Bence siber güvenlik açısından güvenli gelmedi. check in online sistemle olmaz, pasaport ve yüz fotoğrafı çektiriliyor tüm konaklayanlar için. Ben boş duvar çektim hiçbirini yüklemedim. Bina giriş şifresi geldi oda giriş şifresi gelmemişti, odaya giremeyince telefonla konuşarak aldım. Şifreyi kendiniz değiştiremiyorsunuz gece siz uyurken biri gelse girer içerir, kapıda güvenlik zinciri vs olmalıydı. Bu arada kapı kolu arızalı olduğundan çıkışta kapı çekince kapanmıyordu, açılış kodunu girince kapı kilidini hareket ettirerek kapattım. Ayrıca bizim gibi gece gelenler oldu kapıda kaldılar, koridorun sesi komple odada. Koridora halı döşenmeli ses izalasyonu yapılmalı. 10 odalı yerde bir görevli durmalı. Odada odayı tutan mı kalıyor yoksa başkaları mı belli değil. Çünkü kontrol eden yok. Bu kadar kar odaklı olmaları çok göze batıyor.
Central location was perfect
Excellent size room. Bar downstairs was great after a day exploring.
Close and easy to get to from the ferry dock; reasonably easy to reach the station (uphill).
Cleaning staff respected our 'do not disturb' and didn't come in to clean during our stay, and reception agreed that the room needed a deep clean as I had a significant cough while there.
View from the window was stunning.
The cafe below the hotel serves good food and excellent pastries (but breakfast NOT included in the price)
It didn't help that we'd just stayed at Casa King in Como before coming here, and yes - this is a 1 star hotel.
Checking-in was a nightmare - the app didn't work and reception staff on WhatsApp weren't overly helpful. I was given the master code, and had to insist on the room code being changed the following morning. Not happy with security.
The bathroom is barely functional for anyone over size 12 US / 16 UK - the entry door is split providing less than standard width, then you'll catch yourself on the shower every time you use the basin.
The bedroom looked nothing like most of the Booking.com photos (possibly like photo 12 but that wasn't our room).
There was no breakfast as mentioned in other reviews.
Very poor value for money.
The location was wonderful. Close to downtown, train, and ferry. Easy to access and only one flight of stairs up with an elevator. Rooms were clean and the breakfast downstairs was excellent. Highly recommend the Beretta Hotel.
Wifi was not reliable during our stay.
