We had the best stay at Via Mare. It's situated off the main road and under the metal steps connected to a former restaurant. You can also access the building from the beach, just walk up the metal stairs and its on the right hand corner tucked away. We visited in October 2025, there was no loud noise/music like I've read from other people. The room was always tidy and clean. The lady we saw everyday was so very friendly who cleans. Overall, I would not hesitate to book again. It really is the perfect spot. Just 10 minutes walk to the city centre and the direct airport shuttle bus - (which is 8 euros each and takes about 30mins drive to and from). The beach is a few seconds away! Oh and the bed matress was super soft which I appreciated 👏

Personalen var så hjälpsamma och trevliga, meddelade man när man skulle kom stod dom uppe vid gatan och väntade då det kanske nog kunde var svårt att hitta, och dom mailade även bilder var man skulle gå, Rena fina rum, nära till bad, nära till restaurang och mataffär och 10 minuter till stadskärnan och hamnen. Bussar gick precis utanför, även transfer fixade dom.
Vi saknade ett litet soffbord och något att hänga blöta badkläder mm på. Synd även att miljön nedanför hotellet var bortglömt kunde ana att det blomstrat där en gång i tiden.
That it was close to the sea and old town
The host was very rude even before we went. We saw complaints about fleas which as a customer it is within our rights to ask if that’s still a problem. The host got very angry and rude through message. And when we went to stay there the flea problem was still there. I got bitten all over my legs and belly and hands. The room has this very bad stench as there is no air ventilation. You cannot open the window as it opens to public space and is very dangerous. You don’t have room service everyday. They only fill up toilet rolls and towels and nothing else. Also this is not a safe place because the room pin code is the same as the entrance door and the same as all the other rooms. I entered the wrong room with my pin but the door still opened. It is risky. No information about wifi and passcode was given to us before we arrived we had to wait late night for the host to reply. Overall don’t bother staying here.
Not much to like really, we were looking forward to a luxury apartment but this is very tired. The advertisement for a "Luxury room" is miss leading!
Split is a fantastic place to visit, just avoid this place, unless you get it for a budget price.
I didn't like the shower, the missing elecrical cover on the light switch, poor repairs to the walls. The basin tap is corroded and in poor condition. No fridge, no drink making facilities. Bathroom door doesn't shut. The apartment has an ironing board but no iron? Very noisy at night and we were woken several times.

Sewage smell in bathroom. Generally run down both quality of sanitary ware as well as stained mattresses. No linen for Sofa bed on arrival.
No use of Hot Tubs being the primary advertising photos. General area with restaurants all closed down and grafitti.
Very dissapointed and mis sold for the price.
Wished we had stayed an extra couple days in Makaska or Trogir.
Wonderful stay in this apartment! The beach view, facilities, jacuzzi, and overall design of the room is spacious and luxurious. Value for money! We loved our stay here. The owner was very helpful as well during our entire trip!

We have just returned from 4 nights staying here, and had a fantastic break.
It was important to us to have an outdoor space where we could relax before heading out each day to explore the area. We booked a room with terrace and hot tub which worked perfectly for us.
The room was adequately equipped, we could suggest having a hook somewhere to hang our coats/jackets but other than that it had everything we needed.
The hosts at the property were so welcoming and helpful, and always on hand if you needed anything.
The beds were comfortable, we slept well.
The accommodation is in a great area, where you can walk along the coast and into the old town/Riva with ease.
Great accommodation with amazing views of the beach. Beds very comfortable. Walking distance to old city easy to do. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The amount of steel stairs to get to our room from the roadway.
Shower leaked.
Not many eating places close by open at this time of year.
