From the moment we arrived to moment we left Indigo, we were in very good hands. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was perfect. Spacious, nicely designed and quiet. Oh what a huge, comfortable bed! Lovely, compact bathroom with separate WC. Spacious wardrobe with plenty of shelves plus an ironing board with a good iron. Also, a very welcome little cooler for your drinks and the most effective air conditioning especially given the unexpected heatwave. Plenty of space to store our suitcases out of the way and to accommodate a mobility walker. Superb breakfast in a wonderful restaurant on the 7th Floor. Really made a perfect start to the day. Added to all that, it was the perfect location to base ourselves in Chartrons. Minutes from rue Notre Dame and the river for restaurants and the markets. Seriously, good value. Would definitely recommend!
That we hadn’t booked for longer.
The bed was comfortable and it is a good location for Chartrons.
First, the Booking.com website advertised that this hotel has an electric vehicle charger. This was the most important criterion by which we selected a hotel in Bordeaux because of timing pressures and a need to return the rental vehicle fully charged early the following morning. We were disappointed and frustrated that the nearby parking garage, which the hotel advertises as its parking facility, had no chargers at all, and Chartrons is otherwise not well suited to electric vehicles. This caused us great inconvenience and expense, wasting an afternoon trying to find an alternative facility to charge the car. We also contemplated how we could cancel the room as a result, to book in elsewhere with a charger, which was ultimately not possible.
Secondly, we were reprimanded by the staff for using the revolving doors to enter the property with our bags, despite it being the obvious point of entrance and many other guests doing the same, which was a further sour point at the start of our stay.
Third, the rooms are also slightly strange, and give the impression of being retrofitted into an old office building, judging by, for example, the room layouts and door handles. The one window in our relatively dark room also overlooked an escalator, which was odd. Ultimately, we expected more having chosen to pay additional fees to book a 'premium' room.
Great place to arrive in Bordeaux, the hotel is beautiful and quiet. Is next to a tram station to go to the most popular places.

All good
Very good hotel in a great location - near the river, in Chartrons and a 10 minute walk from the centre of Bordeaux. Neat, tidy, clean and relatively good value with a very good roof top restaurant/bar with great views over the river and the city.
Stylish room , we visited when it was 41 degrees but the room remained pleasantly cool due to the cold air circulation
The roof top restaurant was great for Al fresco breakfast with great views of the river
Hallways/ corridors felt a little dark due to the decor
Good location, very close to cafes and restaurants, and walkable to the city centre. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was really good. Nice quiet room.
Our stay was for six nights - perhaps more suitable for shorter trips or work trips.
Great location. Lots of restaurants around and cafes. Train station is very close and easy to walk in city centre. The staff is amazing and very helpful.
Excellent view over Bordeaux from the rooftop bar. Bed was large and comfortable. Aircon in bedroom coped well in 35+ degree temperatures. Public car park next to hotel is convenient for parking.
The dark blue colour palette for walls and carpet is depressing particularly when combined with low level lighting favoured by the hotel. Add to that the fact there was no natural light in the room, as the single small window looked out onto an internal atrium and escalators for a business centre, it is not a place to rush back to. Stayed at a few Indigo hotels in UK and the Bordeaux Indigo does not measure up.
