Staycation
Pros:

The location was fabulous and an easy walk to parliament station and Chinatown .
Loved the heritage features of the building .
Beds were very comfortable and the bedroom had good blockout curtains.
Lounge area had nice quality furnishings.
Very secure front entrance.

Cons:

There didn't appear to be a reception area, when we arrived at the front entrance there was no instructions of what to do to get into the building ( it's a locked fob only entry )
Bathrooms and kitchens were a bit tired looking and we didn't have enough mugs or cutlery .
It was very hard to work out how to use the heating in the apartment and our TV wouldn't work .
On checkout we had no idea what to do with the rooms keys as there was no staff around .

Pros:

Our Gordon Apartment stay was great. We were upgraded to a Studio which was amazing, we loved the decor and had so much space. Whenever I had a query the staff I called were so friendly and helpful, letting us have a late check out with short notice. Thank you so much!

Pros:

Location was fantastic for what we wanted to do (theatre/restaurants), apartment a great size and reception staff were friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

The apartment was freezing, and the heating was inadequate. Bathroom very old but functional. Bed was far too soft. Was value for money but wouldn't stay again

A lovely stay especially in warmer weather
Pros:

Excellent location. Definitely a hidden gem in the heart of Melbourne CBD.

Cons:

Maybe centralised heating or portable heater for each room would be good. We only had one portable heater for the whole apartment and ironing facilities would also be nice.

The location is the best thing for sure

Cons:

Access was almost impossible to check in. The instructions were not clear and wrong, plus the key we need was in the room. Then you had to down load an app and so on.

Email instructions for access don't match property access
Pros:

The apartment was nice neat and tidy

Cons:

The access. We arrived after hours, and the cafe access appeared to be permanently closed. We were behind schedule, but luckily, someone exited the premises so we could get in. We accessed the room via the app without any problem. We literally dropped our bags and left for an appointment and returned at midnight to be faced with the same access problems. We rang the after hours access number provided in the welcome email, a number that had previously called us at around 3pm to arrange access earlier in the day, to be informed that their service no longer assist the Gordon Apartments. I called another number referring to their assistance earlier in the day and was faced with further confusion. All this, after midnight! After about half an hour, luckily, another group entered the premises, providing us access through the front doors. Apologies for the negativity, but there was a huge discrepancy between the access instruction in your email, with what is happening on the ground. Apart from the access issues, the property is great.
