From the moment we arrived, David and his incredible staff made us feel so genuinely welcomed. There is a beautiful, understated luxury to Hotel Vera, and the sheer amount of thought, care, and intentionality put into creating this space is visible in every single detail. A major highlight was the degustation dinner—it was absolutely amazing and an unforgettable culinary experience. It’s rare to find a place that feels both impeccably curated and deeply comforting. We absolutely loved our stay and already cannot wait to return!

Pros:

Location and rooms were clean and comfortable. Could not fault the facilities and attention to detail.

Cons:

Disappointed to receive a message from management regarding noise level that we did not attribute to. The restaurant was particularly noisy when diners were leaving at night, and we did not complain about the noise.
Could have been managed better. Not really a place for mother-daughter retreats. More of an adult-only vibe, which was disappointing.

Very high standards at this beautiful stay, with quiet room and great host.
Pros:

Great attention to detail in the room, providing luxurious comfort. Many modern features. David, the host, was very helpful, friendly and clearly takes every opportunity to provide the best experience possible. We would like to experience their 1-hat restaurant next visit. Easy to find central location in Ballarat.

Pros:

So rarely now can a property be declared perfect. This is such a place. From the friendly greeting, to easy check in, we felt sincerely welcomed.
David has a warm professional way and gives just the right introduction to this wonderful stay.
The place is spotless and meticulously well maintained. Traditional elements have been lovingly preserved and seamlessly integrated with modern and sophisticated touches.
