Cheap, but unclean and sad.
Pros:

The staff were mostly pleasant, but some were very young and inexperienced. The view over the marina is really nice and to sit on the waterfront at the bar is lovely.

Cons:

Cleanliness!!! We were aware that the price was very cheap, so did not have high expectations, but our room was not cleaned properly. Rubbish under the couch, and only a bottom sheet so I am fairly sure the quilt cover is not washed regularly, yuk. A leak somewhere in the bathroom so water constantly on the floor. The place has just been let go, and it is very sad, light bulbs not replaced, Kids running the restaurant so although generous not great. Tables not cleaned, we were going to have the help yourself breakfast the next morning before work but there was virtually nothing there and what was looked old. It just needs people who have some pride in the hotel, as the bones are all there but it seems no-one cares.

Very relaxing. We will be going back again. Recommend to others.
Pros:

Food was excellent - loved the seafood boil. Riely the bar keeper was great, Made us feel comfortable. Mae was very friendly and helpful. The view from the room was wonderful. Great value for money.

Cons:

Rooms were very basic but that was all we needed for our short stay.

This accommodation is not up to Australian standards.

The location is great

Cons:

The room we were given had a terrible smell. We asked to be given another room and they provided a room which was a downgrade to what we had booked (Harbour Views). The 3rd room offered to us still had a smell, the TV didn't work, and the bath was dirty. We decided to leave after this and asked for a refund which was refused. The owner was quite rude walking away from the reception area and left us standing there, We did not stay the night and had to find alternative accommodation.

Cheap for a one night basic accommodation

Cons:

Old run down rooms missing area where a mini fridge was. Shower no pressure. Room dirty and needed upgrading as old missing panels.

I wouldn’t recommend.
Pros:

The bar and bar staff were great.

Cons:

Everything excepting the bar even with its blocked toilet. Dirty bathroom, lift didn’t work, no supplies, utensils very limited (2 spoons), staff nowhere to be found.

Do not recommend. Place is filthy
Pros:

Hotel was filthy. Doors, walls and lift. We arrived to a room that had not been cleaned nor were the sheets changed. For hope island I would have expected a lot better. Was booked for level 3 and had to drag heavy cases down flights of stairs! The place is like a rabbit Warren and its management need to have a look at it cleanliness! Would not recommend at all nor would I ever go back.
