The lady on reception was so helpful, friendly and informative
It's an older place but, in saying that, its good value for money. So its not a complaint, just an observation
Comfortable but the view shown pre booking was a bit misleading.
Also the bathroom/shower was mouldy.
And nothing at all for shampoo or even a simple cup of tea or coffee!

Dead cockroach in the bathroom. Thick layer of dust on fly screen door. Dirty bathroom with possible mould
The rooms on one side of the property were ok.
The initial room allocated...no excuse for this horror hostel type room.

Shower black with mould.
Walls with dubious stains above bed and black smudges everywhere.
Plastic furniture.
No tv.
Smoke alarm had plastic bag over it.
Whole room is cracked, old, scary.
Neighbours was the same.
Old 90s quilts on beds under white covers.
That part of the hotel needs to be condemned.
Elevator not working.
Using stairs to and from top floor with luggage...not ok.
The poor young boys who man the desk cop so much and it's not their fault.

Lift was broken and seemed to be broken for a long time. The extra bedroom looked like it used to be a storeroom. No tea or coffee in the room. Bathroom was not clean.
The hotel was incredibly quiet and peaceful, and I was finally able to properly relax. My room was simple and basic, but it was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. The owners were fantastic and made me feel very welcome. Having the restaurant and bar on site was a huge bonus, and both the big breakfast and steak dinners were excellent.
The property is still a little dated in places and there are areas that clearly need some attention. However, the current owners explained that the hotel had been allowed to run down under previous ownership, and with around 70 rooms it is understandable that it can’t all be fixed overnight. From what I saw, they are clearly putting a lot of effort into improving it.
I have photo's of the FILTH, MOULD, floor was sticky and carpet black and sticky. Lady was RUDE. WE WERE NOT THE ONLY ONES UNHAPPY 9 other familes complaining. Asked male admin for a refund of $600 (couldnt stay at the hotel it was horrific) he processed it as another $600 debit, so he then tried to refund the $1200 charges, it would only work at $400 each transaction so he processed 2 X $400 total $800 refunded from the $1200.THEN the Lady came back, was threatening physical damage to myself and the male worker, she was yelling abuse it was scarey, we left the property with $400 still not being refunded. The Male admin guy was crying I WOULD RATHER SLEEP IN THE GUTTER THAN STAY AT THIS PLACE EVER.
Filthy, unhealthy, mould everywhere in the unit, abused by the female owner, threatened, others complaining and wanting rooms cleaned, STAYERS BEWARE SLEEP IN YOUR CAR DONT STAY HERE.
Very disappointing experience. There wasn’t even a microwave in the room, which made it very difficult to heat our food. We had to go downstairs every time we needed to warm something up, and to make matters worse, the lift wasn’t working.
There were also no coffee or tea sachets provided in the room, which is a very basic amenity we would expect from a hotel. Overall, the facilities and convenience were very poor, and unfortunately, our stay did not meet our expectations.

We had a room to cater for 3 adults and 3 children, when we arrived at the room the sliding door was opened and there was a damp/ mouldy smell also there were small insects flying around the room. The 3rd double bed was in a separate storage room that also had a washing machine in it a the smell was stronger in there. The fridge freezer still had food in it and the shower didn’t look cleaned. We had to ask for 2 more towels as we only had 4 in the room that was paid for 6 and when they arrived whilst we were out to dinner the towels turned up damp from being just washed. We reported the room to the reception and was informed that there were no other rooms available and that the manager was going around checking rooms. We asked for a refund but the receptionist said he couldn’t provide that himself so we decided to drive home and not stay the night as we didn’t want the children exposed to the smell over night.
