Clean, new and comfortable with everything you need nearby!
Pros:

Newly refurbished, super clean and comfortable! Beds were amazing! We were just passing through so didn’t get to explore the town. We did have great food at the restaurant, used the public laundry a couple minutes away and grabbed some amazing pies from Brearley’s Bakery just a couple doors down.

Overall, a good stay and wouldn't mind returning.
Pros:

Location: Easy access to downtown Cardwell, jetty, and beach. Nice walking/cycling path around. Beautiful scenery around the place.

Comfort: Comfy beds (although the single bed had wheels and risked rolling about if you were not careful, but mattress was comfortable), modern stylish room including the bathroom

Parking: Right outside the room, which is awesome

Restaurant: Good choices of food (Note that there are 2 food menus, one for meals and one for pizza), 1 free drinks coupon. There is a bar as well which runs raffles and get quite noisy and rough at night, but the staff are amazing and seem to handle it well.

Cons:

Late check in has its challenges. The location of the reception is not clearly marked and you have to go to the bar to let them know about check in. It's a typical Aussie country bar which gets rough and loud at night, where you have to wait for a while before someone's ready to check you in. Sure you can grab a drink in the meantime, but if you arrive with family or kids, it's best to have them wait in the car until you get your keys. The downside however is that the parking lot is poorly lit.
