A very convenient place to stay for discovering the heart of the city.

It was a very convenient base for discovering Hanoi.

The central location made a big difference to our Hanoi experience. We could easily walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and spend time exploring the walking streets, especially in the evening when the area becomes full of energy. The bellman was one of the people who made our stay especially pleasant. He was always around when we needed help and never hesitated to assist us. His service was quick and professional, but also warm and friendly, which made a great impression on us. We really appreciated his positive attitude and the care he showed toward guests throughout our stay.

The worst experience ever, after years of travelling all over the world

It was a terrible experience

Cons:

Everything: cleaning and general appearance of common spaces and room, unprepared and unfriendly staff, safety hazard due to the blocking of staircases (4th floor) with two mattresses randomly positioned. The room we booked (a suite with city view) had a view on an internal service shaft/courtyard, and the air conditioning wasn’t working - so that they had to put a fan on the floor - a fan connected to the lights circuit. Moreover, it was not ready when we arrived at nighttime (around. 10pm)

Being in the center of Hanoi made it very convenient to explore some of the city’s most popular areas without spending much time on transportation. Hoan Kiem Lake is within easy walking distance, and the surrounding Old Quarter is full of charming streets, restaurants, cafés, and local attractions. One of the biggest advantages of Amara Hanoi Hotel & Spa is its location. We were close to Hoan Kiem Lake and the Walking Street, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops, and attractions nearby. Being able to walk around and explore Hanoi so easily made our stay much more enjoyable and saved us a lot of time getting around.
