Exceptional staff and location, comfortable stay
Pros:

Wonderful and attentive staff. Chloe and Jennie took excellent care of our family making the most effort to ensure we felt comfortable and spoilt during our stay.
The restaurant is delicious and a great above city level oasis, beers especially cold which was rare but welcomed in the Hanoi heat.
Rooms are a good size and the family adjoining rooms were excellent.
Location is great for people watching, shopping or a drink stop to watch the passing by street scenes.

Cons:

Pool is smaller than a typical hotel, but as rooftop it’s to be expected.

Pros:

Really enjoyable stay at the Grand Hôtel du Lac! Chloé at the front desk was lovely, very welcoming and helpful, she gave us several great suggestions to make the most of our stay. The pool has a stunning view, perfect for relaxing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, we had excellent nights of sleep. An hotel I’d highly recommend!

Pros:

Great breakfast. They also offered Gluten-free bread. Staff is super super friendly and helpful. They try to satisfy customer's needs at all times.

Cons:

Choose rooms with city view as those with internal windows are a bit clastrofobic.

Location was good, Abby at front desk was amazing, breakfast and service from breakfast staff was excellent and dinner one night was excellent

10/10 definitely stay here!!
Pros:

Fantastic stay at Grand Du Lac Hanoi, the staff were extremely attentive and kind!! We had a wonderful stay, made better by James, Ben, Jenny, Anthony, Emily, Lisa, Thomas and the concierge who loved dancing with us!! Rooms were cleaned daily and was in a perfect location, they helped us book tours and gave us water when we went on tours, umbrellas when it rained and even packed us a gift bag for breakfast when we left because our flight was at 6am and we would miss our buffet breakfast that day. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Pros:

This hotel is right in heart of the Old Quarter. It’s located in a beautifully restored historical building with all the amenities of a 5star hotel. Very comfortable beds, great breakfast with a nice variety, super nice staff always ready to answer your questions. Super cute rooftop with a pool and a nice bar. We walked everywhere and enjoyed the city. Convenience stores(7/11 etc) located all around in case you need something. Lots of great coffee shops and small restaurants all around as well. You really cannot beat this location. It was real treat coming back to our nice, cool and refreshing room after a long sticky hot day of exploring Hanoi.

The Perfect Welcome to Hanoi
Pros:

The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. They were friendly, attentive and always willing to help. We were also pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade, which we especially appreciated after our long journey from Spain and which made our arrival in Hanoi even more enjoyable.
We also highly valued the recommendations provided by the reception team, such as visiting the Night Market. Their suggestions were very helpful and showed a genuine commitment to making guests' stays more enjoyable.
The location is excellent for exploring Hanoi's Old Quarter, and the breakfast was outstanding, with a great variety of high-quality options.

Cons:

The bathroom in our room was a little small, although it did not significantly affect our overall stay.

Fantastisk frokost buffet, med à la carte meny inkludert. Personalet var veldig behjelpelige med å booke/foreslå ting å se og gi tips til hva som er lurt å gjør mtp bestilling av billetter til ulike ting. Rommet var veldig fint og ryddig. De var også veldig behjelpelige med å lagre bagasjen vår når vi skulle på utflukt til ha long bay, selv om vi ikke lenger skulle bo på hotellet. Super service!

Perfect in every way!
Pros:

From the moment we checked in with Ben, until check out with Chloe, our stay was perfect. The hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of the action. Rooms were spacious and very clean and the amenities were all great. We will definitely stay again on our next trip!
