As we have stayed not long ago here, we really enjoyed the location. They did took into account that I mentioned their score would be higher with some warmer food as breakfast. They did add a pancake machine, plus a toaster for bread and bagels. So that was a very nice add on in a short amount of time from when we first came to this 2nd time. We are still undecided to recommend the hotel for our friends and family that'd like to enjoy downtown without the need of a car, because in fall we are having our wedding in Ottawa.
The room we got assigned this time, the marihuana was stinking through our door. They should not allow smokers in premises. Another note: when we arrived, we put our checking time was between 11pm-midnight. And the staff locks the entrance door "due to security reasons". They should let us know this beforehand because we were waiting outside and there was not a single person in the reception. Later this lady came out of the elevators, she walked pass the entrance not acknowledging us. We had to call, then we saw she ran to the phone and rudely just yeah ok us. Came to open the door, wasn't welcoming AT ALL, when I tried to ask if the door was lock, since we couldn't push it. The check in with her was also not great.

The breakfast was disappointing; they only offered bread items, yoghurt, and fruit. It would have been nice to have some hot breakfast items, such as eggs.

This hotel is old but refurbished and it surprises you. We had a king suite with balcony- tidy space with everything you need- the bed & pillows were super comfortable, the balcony was like another room which is great if u eat in. The breakfast was continental but v adequate. The space given over to communal areas has to be commended- a quiet room, a games room/ sitting area, a sofa next to a gas fireplace, a fantastic laundry room for free with washing machines and dryers, and free luggage storage lockers. Really impressive.
No phone in room ( guess it’s a move with the times but I had someone trying to make contact and my Canadian sim didn’t accept calls)- a small thing really; and lack of sockets and no usb.

I’m aware that with continental breakfasts you don’t have too many options to choose from, but I feel that their breakfast options were very limited.

Nous avons adoré avoir les électro-ménagés directement dans notre chambre. Ceci nous a permis de préparer nos propres repas et lunch.

Nous n’aimons pas qu’ils acceptent les animaux. Et les animaux ont accès mêmes les très gros chiens à la salle du petit déjeuner.
