Great hotel, dodgy location
Pros:

The hotel is great. New, clean, spacious and friendly staff.

Cons:

The location is in the CBD with plenty of junkies on the street. Google advised Nanaimo is a serious phentanyl crisis.

Pros:

Clean, comfortable and inviting.

Cons:

The elevator in the parking garage smelled badly of stale urine. While this is not the fault of the hotel, since it is a rented from possibly the city, it was still gross. And because of the location, finding a parking spot was a challenge. We got one of the last open spots because it was prom night, and never did find an area of parking designated for hotel guests only. We could not find any signs.

Overall, I definitely would not recommend unless you are ok with the above.
Pros:

The location was good because it was beside the Port Theater.

Cons:

Garbages and recycling were not emptied entire stay. Towels were not picked up and replaced entire stay. In fact, house keeping never came once and this was with 2 young children and 2 adults. Bed was very uncomfortable. Overpriced. Grungy.
