Location, cleanliness, modern well finished interior
Rooms were small but expected in a city centre location
Location was top notch
Very difficult to get the code to get access but solved with a phone call and good to speak to a real person who solved the online problem.
I feel the room was very poor value. It was £210, but the room was tiny. I suspect that the advertised size disguises the fact that a portion is sectioned off to create a very small shower room. There is no room for even a single chair or any surface on which you can put anything. The towels are left on the bed because there is nowhere else to leave them. I’m not sure that if you used the hairdryer that you could be anywhere near a mirror (none in the room itself) and nowhere to sit while you dry your hair. There is a fair amount of external noise at the rear of the hotel because of the folk drinking and sleeping there. The worse thing was the carpet. I don’t think it’s unfair to say it was extremely and unpleasantly grubby.
The location was good for us getting to the castle. The staff we met were very friendly. The interior decor was lovely, very comfortable bed.
Our room was tiny so felt we paid a lot for it.
The bed/pillows were very comfortable and the location was ideal!!

Room really cosy
Room so small you can hardly open your luggage. Room in the basement. Nothing mentioned during the reservation process.
Excellent location.
Comfortable and well distributed room with nice decor. Perfect for couples who like a well deserved rest after a long walk around the city.
Rooms are small and somewhat packed.
There is no staff to reach out to, everything must be done through the website or WhatsApp.
Good central location and surprisingly quiet. Helpful staff (online only). Comfortable bed and bedding
Room was very small and cramped. In basement with light from pavement above. I know Edinburgh is expensive but this seemed a lot of money. I expect the larger rooms upstairs would have been great. But they were expensive relative to other boutique accommodation on the market
