The hotel is currently undertaking the construction of a new commercial annex building located outside the main hotel building, which will be connected via a link bridge. The project is scheduled to commence in March 2026 and is targeted for completion by December 2026. The hotel remains fully operational; however, minor disturbances may occasionally occur in Deluxe and Pearl Suite Without Balcony rooms located near the adjacent structure during approved working hours (8:00 AM – 10:00 PM). Mitigation measures, including room reassignment and upgrades (subject to availability), are in place to ensure guest comfort.
'Complimentary One-way Hotel-to-Hospital transfer is available exclusively for guests staying two (2) consecutive nights or more.
The transfer service operates twice daily at 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM and is available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to vehicle availability.
Guests are required to make their transfer request with the hotel front desk at least 24 hours in advance.

Beautiful property, good location, the pool is super nice (i love that it’s saltwater).
I would stay here again
The “welcome drink” is non alcoholic. The bar in general is horrible. The bartender seemed to have no idea what she was doing, she was looking at the recipe while making the drinks. It took 30+ minutes for 4 drinks. It took so long that my husband and i got tired of waiting and asked for them to be brought to the room whenever finished. This was by far the worst service i have ever received at a bar.
There is no bottled water provided.

My view was a building site. Cement on windows. Very noisy from building works.

No plug in sink. When I informed staff, said they were aware and were on order! Could have gone to local hardware store. Hotel states it's eco friendly but obviously not, as prepared to waste water. Beware of the welcome drink voucher to be used in the bar. It's not usable for any drink just the cordial. Very disappointed waited 20 minutes before the bar tender stop chatting before she came to serve us.
Most of the time there was no doorman and noone to take bags to room. The small details associated with a 5* hotel are missing. Problems are not resolved but noted!

The property is in the old part of the town, historic and lot of character. Property is lovely. We had booked the Colonial suite so was very spacious for me and my mum. But the service is average for a 5-star property. They dont even clean the rooms until 3:30 pm when we got back from a day tour. The fridge in the room was stinking of durian ( sorry folks! I dont eat durian and the property prohibits people of brining it in), which should have been taken care of before we checked-in. Though they promptly took care of it when we asked for but the smell kind of lingered through out our stay.

location is great, lots of places walkable, comfy bed, beautiful hotel from the outside, you are close to some amazing streetfood
expected more for the price we paid and for this being a 5 star hotel, our toilet was leaking throughout the whole stay and was never fixed even though we informed them several times. we had to call every morning to make sure our room gets cleaned, since they told us their housekeeping starts at 3pm only which is simply too late, we go our early to enjoy the day and when we come home in the afternoon I want a clean room, very simple. so we had had to call everytime we left the hotel to ask for housekeeping but you were lucky if someone picked up the phone, you had to call at least 3 times until someone picked up. and the housekeeping boys were really random in their work, once they just removed my slippers, other times they would not restock our tea & coffee and on the last 2 days stopped restocking all other bathroom amenities. on the last day we needed more towels again for the leaking toilet (that was the provided solution) but they simply did not bring any towels despite us calling them 3 times and they confirming 3 times it's on the way. so we had a night full of wet feet until we left the next morning. a bit crazy considering we paid a lot and it has 5 stars!

Struttura nuovissima (è stata costruita nel 2018) è tenuta benissimo. Il personale, dalla reception a tutto lo staff, è stato cordialissimo e disponibile ad ogni richiesta. Nel giorno di partenza, benché avessimo il check-out alle 12 e il volo alle 19, ci hanno permesso di fare una doccia nel tardo pomeriggio sfruttando il piano della piscina: essendo stati tante ore nel caldo umido di George Town non è certo un dettaglio secondario. Consigliassimo.
