Where do I begin…. This resort blew our minds. It was luxury, modern, huge, and absolutely breathtaking. The room was very clean and the view was beautiful. There are buggies that take you around the resort that you cal to reception to arrange for you. To breakfast, the beach and reception. There are 2 beaches in the resort. One is private and no public access is permitted but doesn’t have any seating and is slightly smaller with less steps. The second (our favourite) was romantic beach which has Beanbags and parasols for Marriott guests only. Presumably at least. Some people do come and visit the beach during boat trips and via water taxi and do use the bean bags etc. The workers do try and stop this but it’s hard to at times. They also have snorkelling equipment and kayaks for Marriott guests. They also sell water and drinks on the beach which honestly were super pricy at 20RM (downside) especially for guests 20RM for water that’s usually 2RM is crazy. But we found ourselves buying a couple of times because it’s been super hot and our own water was no longer cold. The beach is so beautifully clear and so many fish around. There are sea urchins in perhentians waters so sea shoes are a must. There are over 200 steps to romantic beach but definitely worth it. Wasn’t and issue for us as we wanted to burn off the amazing food we ate, but if steps are a bit difficult or you’re older then it might be hard so stick to the other beach. You can get water taxis only from romantic beach though not the other one.
The workers were lovely, they were all lovely. Everyone. The dinner buffet was also amazing. So so so nice. You do have to go a bit early as it does sometimes get a bit cold and not as nice but it was yummy. The selection is amazing and the desserts fantastic. Again a bit pricy for guests but it’s a luxury resort so expect high prices. Breakfast was the same. We went to the great room for dinner one night and got the smash burger which was SOOO YUMM.
The walk to long beach is fine but scary at night. We did it a couple of times but saw a snake one night so didn’t do it again. But during light it’s okay. Just bear in mind all food restaurants are on long beach and most seafood bbqs start at 7. There is an option to get water taxi for 25RM Pp each way but bear in mind this is double after 7pm. Cheeky 🤣 it would be nice for Marriott to invest a bit in a trail for their guests but I guess this isn’t a priority.
Also the room was tidied every day but not cleaned. Stayed for 7 nights and our sheets weren’t changed but only the bed was made. Also the bathroom wasn’t cleaned but it wasn’t a major deal.

Las playas tienen olas, no son como las de Besar, aunque se puede hacer snorkel igual y son preciosas.
Tutto, la cordialità e il sorriso di tutto lo staff . Ambiente pulitissimo e raffinato. Cucina gluten-free ottima.
E' veramente un resort spettacolare, la cucina ottima. ho apprezzato moltissimo la sicurezza, vigile ovunque.
Nous avons tout adoré et nous pensons déjà à revenir ! Le resort est immense et propose plusieurs piscines, plusieurs restaurants et plein d'activités. Les chambres sont absolument canons, avec une magnifique salle de bain et une literie méga confortable.
Mention spéciale pour le personnel, qui est sans doute le plus adorable du monde : ils sont d'une gentillesse et d'un accueil exceptionnels. Côté cuisine, les restaurants sont super bons et le petit-déjeuner est tout simplement incroyable. Tout était 100 % positif. Un immense merci pour tout, vous avez ancré notre lune de miel dans nos plus beaux souvenirs !
Un sans-faute absolu tout était parfait
The hotel is just perfect! The best one on Perhetian islands. Our room, food, all the facilities are amazing. We booked half board and both breakfast and lunch were very tasty, outstanding choice of different meals. For someone it maybe a concern, not for us, that you need to go down the stairs to get to the sea. Two beaches are nearby, the Romantic one is very nice. So, in total, highly recommend the hotel.

The location is simply exceptional. Surrounded by turquoise waters and lush jungle, this is one of the most beautiful settings I have ever stayed in, and our five nights here were overall a wonderful experience.
Check-in was frustrating. We arrived around 5 PM to find the room had not been properly prepared: a dirty bathrobe was stuffed into the wardrobe, an empty shower gel bottle had been left on the table, and there were no clean towels in the room. Not the welcome you expect from a Marriott resort.
Check-out was equally disruptive. We had booked our own boat transfer at 10 AM with a local company, followed by the hotel’s airport transfer. At 7 AM, a bellman rang our doorbell three times, jolting us out of sleep in a panic. No explanation, no apology. A simple heads-up or a note would have been more than sufficient.
These are fixable operational issues, and they should not deter you from visiting. The surroundings alone are worth it. But Marriott’s service standards need to match the extraordinary setting.

La struttura era moderna, estremamente bella, pulita, profumata, accogliente e con tutti i servizi utili per godersi un'ottima vacanza.
Le spiagge del resort erano paradisiache e, considerando il territorio, ben accessibili.
Il cibo era incredibilmente buono, tutti i ristoranti erano ottimi. La colazione era estremamente varia.
Il resort è ricco di ogni tipo di servizio: più piscine (fantastiche) tra cui idromassaggio, palestra, baggy, discoteca, spogliatoi e tanto altro ancora.
Le stanze erano assortite e confortevoli: c'è un waterlet, un depuratore d'acqua, una macchina da caffè Nespresso con cialde in alluminio, accappatoi, e tantissimo altro ancora.
Lo staff era cordiale e disponibile ad ogni nostra richiesta.
I trasporti acquatici da loro offerti erano comodi e sicuri.
Il resort offre anche attività ludiche alle quali ci si può iscrivere.
Considerata la fauna delle Isole Perhentian, era incredibile vedere così pochi insetti/animaletti nel resort: era curatissimo.
Il resort cade su delle piccolezze: ho chiesto ad esempio dei bicchieri più grandi per il succo a colazione e mi hanno detto che quelli erano solo per il latte, assurdo; oppure ancora, ho chiesto di avere più di due asciugamani in stanza e mi è stato detto che due per stanza era il numero massimo.
Gli orari dei transfer acquatici da/per Kuala Besut sono pochissimi e limitanti.
Lo staff parla un inglese un po' scadente.
