First the location. It couldn't be more central and this was fantastic. Plus parking was super simple. I thought it was a great room overall. It is serviced apartments, not a hotel and there were no staff on hand - but a number to call. The room was reasonably quiet and well stocked with amenities plus the bed was pretty comfortable.
When we got there I couldn't get a room key to work, and the "contact us" was not answered, luckily we were able to get another one working, but it didn't leave me with confidence that if an actual problem arose, it would be dealt with. There was no air-con and in a heat wave this meant the room was horribly warm, as we couldn't even open the windows. Also, there was a large stain in the carpet which someone had clearly attempted to clean, but hadn't.
Location, size of room and general facilities. Bathroom was clean and modern
Bit disconcerting no staff about. However we experienced a fire alarm in the building caused by alarm going off in another room. I ended up dialling 999 as could not immediayley get response from fire board number or the tel no on the back of the room door( for which I had to renter the building to find) however staff returned call a few times as the alarm was dealt with by the fire brigade.

Its a bit strange, no staff on site which is ok until things go wrong!
Main concern is that the hotel is open so anyone can walk in...the internal door is set up for card swipe to open which would be more secure, however it was constantly open. So only secure door is your bedroom door. I'm not sure l would feel 100% safe if staying alone
Also fire alarm went off at 10am, no one around, no one answering the phone so had to call 999.
There was no number to call in case of emergency.

Le système de check-in tellement impersonnel. La douche de la chambre 1, si petite qu'on aurait dit un cercueil vertical. la serrure automatique de la chambre qui sonnait (bip-bip-bip-bip) de manière aléatoire sans qu'on puisse l'arrêter... Et le fait qu'il n'y ait pas de réception pour signaler ce dysfonctionnement.
Lovely building, ideal central location and nice rooms
Check-in phone call for help took over an hour for a call back, shower pressure was so high it is almost impossible to control. We knew that car park was on a first come first served basis but hadn’t expected to be behind locals who used the car park too.
Location was key for us and the property is beautifully located in the town.
Very basic for coffee facilities the windows were not working properly, and another stair rail would be helpful.
