Disappointing.
Pros:

The location is lovely, felt like we were on a Disney movie set. The scenery is fabulous.

Cons:

It was just a let down, my room was not properly cleaned, spiderwebs, insects, incredibly dusty.
Floors were not properly sanded so it was splinter central without any slippers so if you do stay here, please remember those.
Also the staff gave off a feeling as though they just didn’t want to be there.
I was just very disappointed considering all the lovely reviews I read.

The pond was beautiful and I’ll probs go back as it reminded me a bit of owd nells tavern but with leisure and spa facil
Pros:

The scenery, leisure access and breakfast

Cons:

We asked for a fan as our room was soo hot and they said they would bring us one up. Waited over 2 hours and they didn’t but then seen someone else walking past our room with a fan and they the got given it so that wasn’t great.

Wouldn’t stay here again.
Pros:

The fact the pageant I was attending was in the hotel.

Cons:

The staff are rude and do not know what offers the Radisson has on. We booked breakfast directly with the radisson however when we got to the hotel they would not honour the price of £25 per person for our 3 night stay…they wanted it charge us £25 per day. The staff are rude and unaccommodating. We put the DND sign on the door, they came in anyway…not just once but a few times.

Nothing luxury. Ok for a very basic hotel
Pros:

I was in the main hotel, not the cottage.
Some decor was ok and reasonably modern.
Comfy bed.
Clean
Nice bathroom
Good tv in bedroom
Hotel is fine for sporting events etc for a clean, comfy bed, but not for a treat / luxury

Cons:

No phone in bedroom. No fridge in bedroom. No peephole in door. No menu / book for room service etc in room. Felt like they provided only the bare minimum (if even)
Room felt quite empty and very basic
Served drinks in plastic cups
Wine glasses had measurements on the side (tacky)

Ok
Pros:

The location for why we were there was perfect. Nice big beds and plenty of room in the 2 bed cottage

Cons:

Staff are rude and hard work. Not all but most. Receptionists are your 1st impressions on place so think they need to train them in how to be friendly and welcoming
The hotel has re decorated but they need to get cleaners who can clean. It's full of cobweds spiders dust and generally not been cleaned to a good standard. Think they literally go in change beds sweep floor and that's it. Shame as it could be amazing

AVOID !!
Pros:

Lovely reception and bar area very relaxing atmosphere 2 young members of bar staff named Ruby and Charlotte where very kind and welcoming ... not to mention hard working
Restaurant staff where very welcoming and food was great

Cons:

Where do I start ...
Attitude of manager he was so rude and very unhelpful , cottage area behind hotel was very dirty and run down , our room was filthy when we arrived , and not well equipped at all 3 of stayed ... we had 2 forks , 1 bowl , one dinner plate , and 1 dirty glass that was left in draw . No microwave , tv didn't work counted 7 spiders in the kitchen alone ... writing on tiles in bath room , we where staying 4 nights and not once was our room cleaned , when asked if someone could come and clean ect was told it's extra charge !!!! Path to front door was full of mud and cigarettes stumps !!! Had to ask a cleaner for a new bin liner , fresh towels and toilet rolls !!!!! Our cottage right in the trees so when coming back at night outside lights didnt work we had a hob but no pots , jug ect The list goes on ..

Pros:

Lovely reception, bar area and the facilities eg pool, gym and restaurant which were included.
Would stay here again.

Cons:

The drive up to the hotel was tired and lacking in maintenance and didn't create a good first impression but once inside we were pleasantly surprised.
Breakfast was below par 6/10.

June 2026 stay
Pros:

Handy location for the event we were attending. Friendly staff. Really warm weather during our stay, didn't realise until we left the following morning a number of fans on the maids trolley. Make sure you ask for one if it's warm.

Cons:

Big wedding on during our stay. When we returned late at night there was a large police presence and blood all over the floor. We woke in the morning and left straight away due to feeling uneasy about the atmosphere, so we did not get chance to explore the gym, pool or restaurant. Will return in the future when hopefully it's a bit quieter

Pleasant stay, could do with some TLC
Pros:

Staff were really accommodating and friendly, they made our stay. Reception, lounge, restaurant all look immaculate. Nice to have access to pool and sauna. Breakfast was really good. Parking was easy.

Cons:

Rooms and grounds around hotel have been left behind compared to reception, lounge and restaurant. Lift door was playing up. Half of pool is used for swimming lessons on Sunday morning which doesn't leave much space for hotel guests.
