Excellent hotel great location

Central to Shoreditch which is a great area , tube station about 5 min walk , staff were great very friendly hotel , room was really nice very modern as would l expect from this calibre of chain

Nice views and potential but atm not there yet.
Pros:

- Good location
- Nice views
- Big and modern rooms.

Cons:

- Checkin wait times to long and unorganized. There was free drinks standing around I guess because of it but no one said anything and it was not obvious if any glasses where unused.
- I don’t get what’s the point of the guys with in ear headsets walking around at the reception area. Was just a weird vibe and felt like bouncers at a club.
- We had a deluxe room upon arrival it was told that the room has a shower curtain which we said is no problem. But they didn’t told us that it is an accessibility room. That then also meant that the sink is way to low and a few other annoyances.
- Our bathroom bin was not emptied upon arrival. It was taken care of after a reception call but this should not happen. On top of that the window was not cleaned and full of marks.
- Having a sensor instead of a normal tap for the bathroom sink is just really annoying.
- There was constant beeping noise in the hallway that could be heard in the room.
- Only one bedside had a proper night table.
- Everything is so dark. The hallways, elevator waiting area and reception are just so dark.

Disappointing, rude staff and the suite wasn’t fit for a stay.
Pros:

Location, room style, one member of staff, Benedict.

Cons:

Air condition broken, no info at check in so no idea where facilities were or what time breakfast is or where to go. Air con “fixed” yet it wasn’t. Record player broken, waited 50 minutes for our bags upon check in and room very hot for the content shoot we booked it for. This involved multiple calls, speaking to various people, an attempted room change which we declined upon seeing it as it wasn’t as good a view for the content shoot and therefore stuck with the room with broken air con. Guest services came to check and said “it’s nice and cool in here” when it wasn’t and the air con keeps defaulting back to higher temps even when you manually put it back up. All staff rude; told me it was clearly user error, engineer said it was broken and needed rebooting and not to touch, was told they’d come back and they didn’t. Asked for manager who didn’t contact me. Mini bar locked despite them having my credit card and debiting £100 and 2 calls where I was told I had to go down to reception. A very hot night sleep in a room that is mainly window.

Fabulous
Pros:

I visited art’otel for a solo birthday treat, and everything was perfect. From the luxurious but subtle scent of the hotel to the warm welcome, I felt looked after from the moment I arrived. The concierge helped with my bags and personally walked me to reception.

I checked in with the manager, Anand, who was truly the highlight of my stay. He went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and extra special on my birthday.

The facilities were spotless and beautifully maintained. I also loved the secure floor access, which kept the sleeping areas incredibly quiet and peaceful. The sauna and swimming pool were wonderful, and I left feeling refreshed, happy and completely relaxed.

Thank you to the whole team, but especially Anand, for taking such good care of me. I will definitely be back.
