The breakfast was good but there could have been more choice. The staff were lovely and very helpful, afternoon to evening could probably do with an extra member of staff, as the poor guy who checked us in was amazing considering he was doing the work of at least 2 people. We would stay again.
The information suggested there was a cafe/bar that served food which was not the case. The movement sensor lights switch off too soon in the bathroom.

Rooms and facilities are really good.
We booked a suit room and the size was good and the scenery of an ocean was extraordinary.
We were allowed to check in almost one and half hours which was really nice of them.
The response from the receptionist was always late.
After booking the accommodation, despite asking for a Ferry code so many times, I never received the discount code.which was a shame really. I was told Email has been sent (not the booking.com messages) but I never received one. I then called and asked to send via text but never received anything.
The hotel was in a good location. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a balcony with a view of the church and sea. The bathroom was a wet room with a lovely shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious.
The bathroom had a sensor light which did go off whilst showering but if you moved towards the door it came back on.

The area of Shanklin is nice but beach access is hindered due to lift breakdown and one access route in bad repair.
We loved the spacious accommodation, great variety of food for breakfast, a comfortable bed and balcony was a bonus. 10 min walk from the Shanklin Chine.

There was an enormous problem - it was the hottest week of the year and we were given a room on the 3rd floor with no air con but also a single window that opened about 3 inches. As a result for the duration of our stay the temperature of the room was terribly hot, probably around 30°c and without air. Two of the three nights we were unable to sleep at all. We spent many hours on the hotel terrace rather than our room, as it was unbearable. We did ask for an additional fan (which would have made little difference) but this was not provided.
