We had the largest room overlooking the bay, wouldn’t want the smaller rooms
In need of some TLC. The carpet was ruffled, the headboard needed adjusting as it was slanted. Could do with a fresh coat of paint in places.
Nothing needs a good clean bannisters on stairs need fixing and clean
Everything room had damp cracks window open someone smocking the weed smelt bad bathroom needs clean

Dirty walls, dirty carpets, paintwork, stairs…single room felt like a prison cell, showers were old

The shower was either Scalding hot or very cold( very difficult to set
The staff and breakfast were excellent friendly and warm plenty of choice breakfast.
We are both bad walking and the hotel put us in a ground floor room grateful, the room we were put in was tiny ,we couldn't lock the door lock bust.the bathroom was again tiny I'm 6ft tall and 17 stone so you can imagine, and not value for money the price that's charged during the week would have been better not the weekend price.
The staff where helpful, friendly, and on hand to help, and where very polite
Some of the paint was peeling off the walls of the room, and the floorboards where creaking, but that is minor, and more cosmetic
Bedroom looked straight out onto the sea. Very good cooked breakfast
You do get to hear traffic, but that is to be expected, since it's on a main road. Not really a problem.
Made the stay homely and comfortable.
We had a warm welcome and help with luggage, as there is no lift. The room had a beautiful sea view, but was badly in need of decoration, and refurbishment, as was mist of the hotel. The bathroom was very small, abd we couldn't get the shower to work. There wasn't really anyone on hand to rectify this. The breakfast was quite good, abd the waiter was attentive and helpful. They stored our luggage, but when we returned, there was bi one about, and the phine wasn't answered straight away.
There was no toilet facilities downstairs, to use before we left the property. Our luggage was left in an unlocked office, and we needed to go in and get it, in order to catch our train. The only member of staff present did then appear, so we could tell her that we had picked up our luggage. While the hotel is in a good location on the sea front, it is badly in need of refurbishment throughout. It would have been reassuring to have a member of staff available more than there was.

the pitcures do not represent the hotel . if I had known what dump it was , I would have booked there. it was grim.
