Not the greatest location in regard ti feeling safe.
The room was big and clean. The hotel staff was nice and helpful. The location, although not in the nicest neighborhoods, has quick aceess everywhere with underground and busses.

The hotel is located less than 5 minutes away from the Finsbury Park station that has access to two underground lines, national rail and buses.
Our room was spacious for London standards. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cleanliness wasn't up to par with a one star hotel, let alone a four star one. Our bedding had stains on it and so did our pillow cases (and the additional pillows provided in the closet had hairs on them). The room had dust throughout and the shower had massive accumulation of rust in several places. On one occasion, a horrible stench was coming from the shower drain and it took more than 30 minutes for someone to fix it. We reported all this to the hotel, who took more than 24 hours to acknowledge it, and performed a deep cleaning which improved the cleanliness - unfortunately, it was too little too late.
Despite our room not facing the train tracks and being located in a high floor, we could still hear every train go by. Thankfully, we couldn't hear our neighbours unless they were in the hallway.
Regarding location, the Finsbury Park area is well connected to reach the centre of London quickly. However, the area surrounding the station is very dodgy and I would say even dangerous, especially at night. Thankfully the walk from the station to the hotel isn't long, but I don't think women would feel safe doing it by themselves or in small groups.
Breakfast was bad - one hour and a half before closure time, more than half of the things were empty and weren't being replenished. Warm food such as baked beans and potatoes were either cold or at room temperature. From the things we could eat, the quality was low. And all of this for 18 pounds per person.
We wouldn't stay again.
