The food wasn't as good. Full of flies. The roast potatoes were dry, and they weren't even busy. The breakfast wasn't anything special. Coffee was tasteless , shame as we used to like this pub.

Whitstable weekend.
Pros:

Amazing location, delicious breakfast and very comfortable bed, extremely clean...couldn't fault it in anyway!!

Air-conditioning would have been a bonus but fans were provided.

Location and room.
Very noisy around 8am sounded like barrels being delivered. Yes we’re above a pub but wasn’t expecting that nice in the morning when I wanted a quiet slow start. Other then that lovely and quiet!

Lovely hotel that needs heatwave-proofing
Pros:

Lovely little hotel in the perfect location. Beach is opposite the hotel. Boutiques are on either side. Everything is so close. Restaurant and pub are lovely spaces. The room was nice. Staff were friendly.

Cons:

No air conditioning. We stayed here in the middle of a heatwave (3 people in a family room) and the room only had one fan which was not able reach us all. The hotel said they couldn't provide extra fans. There also wasn't a fridge in our room so no way of storing cold water. The windows in our room also didn't open very wide, meaning all round the night was very sweaty and none of us manages to sleep.

Pros:

Staff were super friendly.
Food was very good for breakfast
Room was clean and comfortable

Cons:

I didn’t like when I was paying for the room that the lady said out loud twice how much the room was when it was a surprise weekend away for my boyfriend.

Room was quite loud by the road but ok after midnight

A wonderful weekend break in the heart of Whitstable.
Pros:

The building is a beautiful old pub with a fabulous bar and restaurant. The room was cosy but large and spacious, very clean and decorated perfectly. The breakfast (included) was home cooked to perfection. We couldn't have had a nicer stay.

Cons:

No carparking- and carparking is absolutely extortionate!
