Great location and kitchen access was a plus for breakfast options. For the solo budget traveler without a car, there is no luggage storage, so be prepared to time your check in for the exact time with a key code access. if the company gave access to the lounge area only, this would be a plus.
Great location within easy walking distance to the town and sea.
Had to keep bathroom window open due to smell from drains was really only negative thankfully it wasn’t that cold
Very uncomfortable stay
I have never left a poor review before but not much was good about this stay. When we arrived we found door downstairs open to the patio and it was chilly. Our room upstairs was too cold and no way to increase the room temperature. We are not sissies but we had to sleep with our street clothes with sweatshirts on. It was a long night! The couch was in poor condition and uncomfortable. On arising I found that the wrong shape toilet seat was installed on toilet and it was partially unattached in the back so seat not stable. The faucet on the bathroom sink was loose. The slider for the shower wand was broken so wand was too low and water sprayed straight out at face level. The water temperature was hard to regulate AND there was no caffeinated coffee in the tea tin. This property is in a nice neighborhood, but it is a very stripped down and not “premiere” as advertised.
The check-in process was easy, the accommodation is at a good location and the room was comfortable and well furnished.
Perfect. Within 40 mins of booking I was in a lovely clean spacious room.
Very good
Nice place to stay.
The room was comfortable, particularly the bed, although we did find some broken plastic under the sheet, not sure where it came from.
There was no hot water from the sink even after running the tap for a while and the cistern to the toilet kept running after it had filled up.
Saying all of that we would probably stay again.
The Nook was exceptionally clean and everything looked as if it were never used before. The kitchen was fully equipped. The beds were comfortable and a smart tv in room meant I could relax and watch a movie. It was only 15 minute walk to town. The place itself was a bit hard to find. Google maps were sending me close but I eventually had to ask a local where Alexander road was.
Huge comfortable bed and a large light room. Everything was so clean and it was nice and quiet. Would definitely return!
A nice property, bit of a climb to get to but St Ives is very hilly. Good facilities, nice property, clean but walls are a little thin
Would stay again, only downside was door fits, other guests appeared to need xtr force to close them,
Kitchen and communal idea a great one.
The Nook is in a great location and it is easy to get into the centre of St Ives and visit the beaches.
The rooms are clean and a good size. The downside is the parking and the paper thin walls.
The parking available would be fine if The Nook made it clearer to guest that if there is no parking available, then you will need to park on the road. During my stay the car park was full everyday and other guests were parking everywhere, making it very difficult to get in and out of the car parking spaces.
Unfortunately, where I stayed on the 1st floor in the middle of the building, I could hear other guests in their room, even down to noises coming from my neighbours bathroom, which wasn't that pleasant! Which is a shame as overall the place is clean/tidy/decent size room and in a good location, but it feels like there isn't a lot of privacy.
