The Monument Hotel is a hidden gem- beautifully designed, comfortable, elegant, and very well run.
Pros:

The location is great- the neighborhood is old, busy and close to everything. The hotel is s little hidden at first, but we found it to be perfectly situated and a wonderful respite from the noise and bustle. The rooms are beautifully designed- modern, yet pay homage to the history of the building. They are clean with high ceilings that make the space feel large and airy. The breakfast and cappuccinos were delicious. The support staff from the front desk to bell people to breakfast manager were lovely-professional, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

A refined, thoughtful and genuinely personal hotel
Pros:

Monument Hotel was wonderful.
It is in a very convenient and lively area, yet just one street away it feels calm and quiet. The building has real character, and its original qualities have been preserved with great taste. Everything felt elegant, discreet and carefully considered.
What made the stay exceptional, however, was the staff. Although this is, of course, a hotel, their hospitality had the warmth and attentiveness of people welcoming guests into their own home. They anticipated individual needs with intelligence, generosity and discretion.
I will not describe the most impressive examples in detail, not because they were small, but because they were so thoughtful and generous that I would not want other guests to read them as standard entitlements. That, to me, is precisely what made the service exceptional: it felt personal, attentive and genuinely tailored to us.
For anyone looking for an elegant hotel with character, quietness, and truly thoughtful hospitality, Monument Hotel is an excellent choice.

Pros:

Amazing property, beautiful and very clean. The staff were wonderful, attentive and kind. They even had a dyson air dryer in the bathrooms, totally a luxurious experience. Breakfast was amazing.

Gorgeous, historic hotel, conveniently located with lots of amenities.
Pros:

Beautiful Historic Hotel very close to Monistraki and historical sights. We stayed in room number five and it had a gorgeous balcony! The bed was very comfortable, the decor was beautiful, and the bathroom was gorgeous! We also enjoyed the sauna and steam room. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The neighborhood seems a little bit gritty, but we had no problems. It’s like any big city, but apparently very safe.

Pros:

Beautiful historic building, appointed nicely in a modern style with high ceilings. Great air conditioning system that cools the room without drafts. The staff is a whole separate story, I do not recall ever being treated so well in any other hotel including high end resorts. They took care of all our needs and more, example they booked all the restaurants in the city during our stay and they were all amazing, they helped me organise surprises for my wife’s birthday which was during the stay. Real hospitality.
