We loved the sea view but were very disappointed with how tiny the balcony was. There wasn’t even a chair on it to sit on so one of us sat on the stool that was inside, a couple of stools & a small table could be added.
Nothing apart from the steep climb from the port. You have to walk as no taxis can access & with bags & the heat it’s certainly a mission. Worth it for the views though but not for anyone with mobility issues.
Die Lage war sehr gut; besonders am späten Abend ist die Stadt sehr laut. Davon war in der Unterkunft und auch auf der Terrasse nichts mehr zu hören. Es gab einen sehr kleinen Strand fußläufig 5 Minuten, nicht zum Aufhalten, aber perfekt, wenn man es mag am frühen Morgen zu schwimmen. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. die Kommunikation unkompliziert. Alles was man braucht hat man von hier aus schnell erreicht! Wir haben die Strände ausschließlich mit dem Schiff / Boottaxi erreicht und haben das sehr genossen.
Was man wissen muss: Wer nicht gut zu Fuss ist, hat es hier schwer, denn es geht immer steil bergauf oder bergab.
Camera abbastanza ampia e vista mare
Nel complesso, l’esperienza non è stata positiva. La struttura non è un hotel, ma un insieme di camere senza personale presente in loco, le chiavi vengono ritirate autonomamente da un locker posizionato all’esterno.
Raggiungere la struttura è piuttosto scomodo e faticoso. L’accesso è esclusivamente pedonale, bisogna attraversare tutto il porto turistico e poi affrontare una salita ripida e circa 30/40 scalini di grandi dimensioni. Per questo motivo la sconsiglio a chi viaggia con bagagli pesanti (come noi) o ha difficoltà di deambulazione, anche perché non è previsto alcun supporto da parte del personale, che non è presente in struttura.
Anche la zona circostante non è il massimo, l’area era sporca e sono presenti diversi edifici abbandonati.
La camera non era pulita in maniera soddisfacente. Nel bagno è presente una grande finestra che affaccia direttamente sull’edificio di fronte e sui balconi della struttura e non dispone di alcun tipo di tenda o sistema oscurante, con evidenti problemi di privacy. Inoltre, per tutta la notte dal bagno provenivano continui rumori dallo scarico.
La nostra camera si trovava al livello della strada e in prossimità dell’ingresso. La porta era poco insonorizzata, quindi abbiamo si sentono chiaramente gli ingressi e le uscite degli altri ospiti, oltre al passaggio delle persone nei vicoli esterni.
Nel complesso, consiglierei di valutare attentamente questi aspetti prima di prenotare, soprattutto se si cerca una struttura facilmente accessibile, tranquilla, ben insonorizzata e con assistenza presente sul posto.
La posizione buona, la vista dal balcone bellissima. La stanza carina, arredata con gusto.
La stanza sebbene arredata con gusto risulta però poco funzionale, siamo in un posto di mare e manca uno stendino, un filo perlomeno dove stendere asciugamani e costumi bagnati (vedevo anche gli altri ospiti che si arrangiavano con le grucce). Manca un armadio. La pulizia della stanza è stata fatta in modo grossolano, senza un minimo di cura. C'era un enorme macchia di muffa sul soffitto del bagno che ha cominciato a perdere acqua il secondo giorno.
Il costo era eccessivo rispetto a quanto gornito

Great location for plane and boat spotting! Also great to be in the old town close to the main town and also the beach near bus stop 4. The bed was really comfortable and facilities were good.
Could do with some more storage for clothes and hangers
The view was magnificent. One could spend the whole day on the balcony looking at the sea. The room was spacious enough for 2 people with 2 big luggages. Easy check-in and check-out process. Very friendly manager. There was a Nespresso machine and some capsules, 2 glasses, 2 mugs and 2 espresso cups and a bottle of water in the fridge. Hand and body soap was provided, shampoo too. Don’t miss a visit at Plakes Taverna, which is around the corner (book in advance).
It is very difficult to get there. There are lots of stairs and no access by car. You could either park at the public parking space near the new port and walk all the way up to the hotel, or try your luck near the Panagia Limnia church, which is nearby. But you will probably end with a parking ticket, because apparently parking is not permitted at that area, although there weren’t any signs indicating that. It is not suitable for someone with mobility issues. Although I was already aware of this, I chose to stay there for the view, which didn’t disappoint at all. The room was not very clean. There were hairs everywhere, on the floor, in the bathroom, on the bedsheets. The towels had a weird smell.

The location is right in the town and the views are outstanding. It’s also very clean and has good amenities.
As it is by the main hub of nightlife it is quite noisy at night. They do provide you with one set of ear plugs and with the air con on it did help a little, but I do wish I’d know this beforehand.
Very minimal hanging space for clothes - just one small rail.
El departamento estaba muy bien ubicado, remodelado hace poco. Muy bien!
Tenía muy mala ventilación, porque no tiene ventanas. La única abertura es la puerta vidriada, por lo que si cerrabas la puerta no podías ventilar la habitación. Raro.
Beautiful views, and a modern room with a terrace. The staff were amazing, and helped carry our luggage to the accommodation from their sister hotel 'the Water' where we checked in.
The Rock was in a perfect location for us, close enough to the port for convenience, but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. We loved early morning swims at Plakes which was a few minutes walk away.
We arrived early, and asked if we could leave our luggage which was no problem and greatly appreciated. Despite the staff being extremely helpful and friendly, they informed us check in would actually be delayed by two hours. This was a little disappointing, and meant we were hung around for a while.
We had a wonderful 4-night stay at The Rock Suites in Skiathos. The property is modern, stylish, and spotlessly clean, with a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, and everything was maintained to a very high standard. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to Skiathos Town, restaurants, and nearby beaches. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay at The Rock Suites again. Highly recommended!

Aria Hotels owns both The Rock and The Water.
So at The Water the the bathroom is small and has not place to hang all your wet items. There is an extendable wire for 1 towel, but it was broken. So was the toilet paper holder. It was just hanging out of the wall and could fall off at any time.
The mirror was annoyed and looked terrible. The shower is so small and has no curtain, so the floor is wet everywhere. The drain was not working so you had a small puddle too. This we informed the reception. Luckily, they were able to fix it.
The reception was just outside our room “W”. So when you open the door you were 1.5m from the receptionist (Mariela). Problem here is that the door is made of very cheap cardboard and not sealed, so you can here everything. It was like the people on the other side of the door were actually in your room. It was terrible, and guests started first thing in the morning to complain about the rooms, noise, fungus, etc etc.
So, if it was not the noise from the bar, then it was from the reception and guests. I feel so sorry for Mariela.
Only positive things to say are.
1. Aircon is extremely quiet
2. Firm beds
3. View from terrace
4. Smell of the soap
Conclusion. Do not book this “hotel” (room) The Water. If you choose to stay at The Water, then at least make sure you get a room in the basement or first floor away from the reception. I think the basement has the fungus problems.
If you still want to support Aria Hotels, then book The Rock. Bigger room, more space, regular fridge, spacy bathroom but no sitting terrace. It has a nice view though. Please note that the reception for The Rock is at The Water 😉
Sehr schöne Lage in der Altstadt - toller Balkon mit Meer- und Inselblick,
Sehr freundliches Personal hat uns geholfen die Koffer die vielen Stufen
hinaufzutragen.
Es gibt ein sehr nettes Frühstückslokal mit Buffett direkt unterhalb der
Wohnungen mit ebenfalls tollem Blick und sehr schattig.
Die vielen Stufen sind nichts für ältere Leute oder Personen mit Einschränkungen.
Kleiner Tipp: Wirklich nur dass Notwendigste in den Koffer packen..
Das Bad in der unteren Wohnung ist zwar sehr schön aber auch sehr klein und schräg
geschnitten ohne Duschtüre..
The glorious view. The very nice balcony and a comfortable bed plus the lounge area making the room feel spacious.
The shower door seal leaked so the bathroom tended to flood, an additional bathmat was provided on request, Some minor maintenance was required. Although we should have had daily housekeeping this didn't happen every day.

The view was stunning. Close to the center of the town but quiet during the night. The AC worked perfectly if you close all the windows. The staff were nice and friendly. It’s was 10/10 for our honeymoon!!
Stairs were tough when you have luggage but if you contact the front desk, they will come pick up the luggage for you so it’s no problem.
Beautiful views rooms were very clean air con excellent.
The stairs up to the room nearly finished me off each time particularly when taking the suitcase up and down, a kind tourist helped me up with mine but coming down I was on my own and struggled a lot, some help from the staff would have been appreciated.
