Absolute luxury!
Pros:

I originally booked a short stay but ended up extending for a couple of weeks as I loved the place so much.
This place does so many things well; absolutely lovely staff who are always so eager to help, beautiful and comfy rooms, reliable and fast Wi-Fi (I was able to work seamlessly while staying, including having video call meetings) fantastic breakfast with lots of choice incl plenty of fresh fruit and veg, good gym and big swimming pools, stunning sky pools, great mango smoothies (with soy milk!). I love that lots of little details are thought through, e.g. light switches by the bed, dimmer switches, security guards on the beach so you can safely leave your belongings while swimming etc, turtle monitoring of nesting sites.
The location is also fantastic, it's close enough to all the Alona Beach dive shops, bars etc, but far enough to be quiet and peaceful on a night - it really was the perfect location. I felt like the atmosphere at Premier Coast was more relaxing, chilled, and family orientated which I appreciated, whereas the original Hennan next door seemed a bit louder - I would definitely choose Hennan Premier Coast again and would stay again without question.

Cons:

A couple of really minor things and one big one.
Major; There seemed to be no environmental awareness which was sad and such an easy fix. Every other hotel I stayed at in the Philippines had water coolers on each floor and refillable bottles in rooms. Hennan instead used multiple 500ml bottles every day for all guests which creates an INSANE amount of plastic waste. I took to filling my water in the gym most of the time, but that seemed to be the only water cooler in the hotel (after asking multiple staff) which got really annoying, so of course everyone else just used single-use plastic all the time. Installing water coolers on each floor and scrapping plastic bottles would be so easy and still convenient for guests. Similarly, I often picked up plastic from the beach when I went swimming. Great that the hotel had bins and recycling right there, but I never saw staff make any effort to clean up the plastic on the beach. There's enough staff that even just a few mins each day would make a difference (at least in front of the resort); if I can do it, surely the hotel can.

Minor;
1) It would be great to have some more vegan/vegetarian options on the bar and restaurant menus - atm they are really limited, even though the place does have beans and tofu (in other dishes) that could be offered. I ended up having to argue my way into a meat free salad as I said I wasn't going to pay full price and just have the meat removed.
2) The gym was great but always sooo hot (especially compared to other hotels) which made training a bit uncomfortable and difficult. Staff were always happy to turn on the 2nd air con unit when I asked, but then it takes so long to cool the room down that it's only just getting semi-OK by the time I finished my work out.

Fab five nights
Pros:

If you want to stay right on Alona beach but also want some privacy and a little luxury this is the place. The Junior Suite is definitely the best option.

Cons:

The food at the hotel is ok, but don’t come to Alona beach for the food!

Best rooftop bar and pool - sunsets to die for, it’s a WOW
Pros:

It’s a cracker - location incredible. The rooftop bar and pool is unique for killer sunsets and awesome happy hours. Staff amazing. And the walk-in pool rooms just genius.

Cons:

Food is average. Thats dinner and breakfast. We ate out .
