Absolutely everything! I couldn’t rate this hotel higher. We stayed here during our elopement trip to Copenhagen (sight unseen!) and could not have had a better experience. The staff, in both the hotel and joint restaurant) were warm and welcoming and did everything they could to help us during our visit. We stayed in a junior suite and it was absolutely fantastic. Lots of space, a huge bathroom with a bath and a shower, lots of storage and surfaces. The in-room steamer and Dyson hairdryer were both greatly appreciated! A fantastic stay all round - the rooftop bar was a real highlight and the hotel location couldn’t have been better. Sadly we didn’t have time to visit the gym during our stay but it did look great. We will definitely be back.
When you opt not to have your room serviced, you are given a drinks token. Sadly, these drinks tokens were not redeemable against the in room mini bar. They’re only redeemable at the hotel bar - we therefore didn’t manage to use them.
Also the robes were very small so for anyone larger than a Medium, I think there would be a struggle!
Location was fine, and close to the train station.
Some of the staff were pretty aloof and didn't seem to care about their guests. Had to ask one of them to move in order for us to get into the elevator with them.
The basic room we had (a queen bed, we booked a king), was right next to a maids closet and had a lot of noise from the room above. The curtain in the bathroom did not go all the way to the top of the window, so the higher rooms building on the other side of the courtyard could see in. The bathroom was a disaster. No barrier between the shower and toilet so the toilet got covered with water. Part of the wall is on hinges on the sink side, not sure why they didn't do that on the toilet side of the shower as well.
Location of the hotel is excellent. The staff are also good. Rooms are clean.
Rooms, which we ordered were really small. Slippers are not included in the price.
You can tell how good a hotel is by the way in which they deal with a problem. We had a problem - an unfortunate leak in the ceiling of our bathroom - and the staff were great. They moved us to a larger room for our remaining two nights and also offered one night free of charge. Throughout our visit staff on reception and in the bar were always smiling and helpful. we particularly liked sitting in their rooftop bar in the afternoon, simply reading and listening to the gentle chatter around us. it was a great start to our holiday.

The location is close to public transportation. Staff was friendly. Overall it was a fantastic place to stay.
Amazing stay at Grand Joanne! Location is great, a short walk from Tivoli Gardens and other attractions in the city. The rooms were beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The entire team at Grand Joanne were warm and welcoming, and made us feel looked after during our honeymoon. And special thanks to Denis who was exceptionally helpful to us during our stay, helping us navigating the city and made our stay so memorable.
This was our second stay at this hotel and we've been please every single time. The service is great and we love the location. I personally love the design of the hotel from the lobby to the rooms and even to the gym. The hotel restaurant is great Italian food. The gym has a dance room with mirrors and barres, which I personally use so I was pleased to find that. They provide water in the gym. There's also free fruit and water in the lobby, which is a nice touch.
The rooms can be a little small but it's not an issue. The lights in the room are relatively dim but we didn't mind that.

Rooms are tiny, too small. Location is convenient but not too cool. Price is very expensive for the rooms they offer. Very no frills.
Room size.
The staff was corteous. The breakfast was adequate.
The room was tiny but worse of all,: IT HAD NO FRIDGE, IT HAD NO SAFE, IT HAD NO TELEPHONE! Those are basic necessities that in the XXIst Century one expects everuwhere! How can you rate a Hotel four stars without such basic facilities? Booking should forewarn guests with clear notices: THIS ROOM HAS NO FRIDGE, SAFE or PHONE! Otherwise your writeup is misleading. I want to write a review that warns guests of such a setting proper of a hut on a beach not of a four stars hotel in a major European city!
