Beautifully decorated, very welcoming and breakfast was plentiful and delicious each morning. Husna is a perfect host and very helpful and knowledgeable.

Our stay at The Fort House was amazing! The property is charming, beautiful and comfortable.
The staff were very helpful and courteous.
They let us check in early which was a boon after a red eye flight and arranged for a cake for my husband’s birthday which was extremely sweet!
The breakfast was lovely too.

Everything was great
Situated right in the middle of the old forte. Easy access to restaurants and shopping. Helpful and friendly staff. Had dinner and cocktails @ Charlie’s Bar and Bistro which was amazing- roof top (prawn curry). Also highly recommend Luuma Restaurant which was approx 5km tuktuk from the old forte situated right on the beach with also amazing food and cocktails (grilled whole fish). We loved our 2 nights in Galle.

Situated inside the old Fort surrounded by many bars and restaurants.
No pool, but we knew before booking so a short stroll to the beach for a swim to cool off is required. Power outage on day of departure made it a bit uncomfortable with no AC or running water but staff made effort to offer alternative shower / toilet facilities.

Fort house is in the middle of everything happening in Galle Fort. The staff were beautiful and the breakfast was amazing.
We had a very comfortable night's sleep in a very old (500 years) building that has plenty of character. The room is tastefully decorated and clean. We where downstairs. The staff are polite and more that happy to help. We paid for breakfast which was very nice. It was Sri Lankan and very generous in serving size. Close to plenty of places to eat it is definately worth looking at for your stay in Galle.

Excellent value for money
Lack of parking, but its an old town
Wonderful people, friendly and welcoming, excellent service, sensational food, a beautiful building, big comfortable, clean rooms, a fantastic location inside the fort with easy access to all areas. We stayed as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 14. a 2 night stay including breakfast. The whole family loved it.

Nice historic property in the heart of Galle.
Charged an additional 3% fee for card payment (not credit - but Visa Debit which does not carry the same bank interchange fees as credit). This was the only place in all of Sri Lanka (and everyone else we have travelled) that imposed such a charge.
