A comfortable city hotel with friendly service and excellent assistance in organizing onward travel.
Pros:

The Trees, Kandy is a very good city hotel and an ideal base for exploring the city. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. What really stood out was the professional organization of our transfer to the next destination. Everything was arranged smoothly and efficiently, making our onward journey completely stress-free. We were so pleased with this service that we booked all our remaining transfers in Sri Lanka through the hotel.

Cons:

Nothing significant. As a city hotel, the atmosphere is naturally a little less personal than in some of the smaller boutique hotels we stayed at during our trip.

Key card was not working, had to call receptionist every time we wanted to enter our room. There were no towels, had to request for them.

Nice but not worth 5 stars
Pros:

3 restaurant Options on site. Spacious nice rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

We found it strange that we were asked if we wanted the room to be cleaned at a 5 star hotel. When we came back from a visit to Kandy, our room with all our belongings stood wide open with no cleaning staff to be seen anywhere.

Keuze voor dit hotel omwille van mooie rooftop met prachtig uitzicht over Kandy
Pros:

Super vriendelijk personeel, mooie rooftop met zwembad en bar met beperkte menukaart. Ontbijtbuffet is zeker een aanrader!

Kamer was te klein om hier met 3 personen in te verblijven.

Exceptional Stay in Kandy
Pros:

A fantastic stay right in the heart of Kandy. The hotel's location is unbeatable — set just next to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, giving you exceptional views of one of Sri Lanka's most sacred sites. Waking up each morning to that view was easily one of the highlights of the trip.
The infinity pool is a real standout, with stunning views over the surrounding hills and lake — a perfect spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. The hotel itself is spotless, and the staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay.
Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kandy who wants a comfortable base with an incredible outlook on the city and its temple

Cons:

Price of drinks are a little expensive, but having them whilst taking in the exceptional views makes up for it

Mooiste uitzicht in Kandy
Pros:

Fantastisch mooi uitzicht vanaf de bovenste verdieping en heerlijke cocktails. Onze kamer was erg mooi, netjes schoon en het personeel super vriendelijk. Ze hebben ons zelfs geholpen met het redden van een baby vogeltje die de weg kwijt was. Eten is ook heel erg lekker, zeker een aanrader! Bedankt voor de goede service!!

Pæn og godt beliggende hotel med flot udsigt
Maden i aften restauranten er meget lækker

Cons:

Generelt dårlig service - I særdeleshed i restauranten
Man er som gruppe var henvist til borde bagerst i restauranten, da man ikke ville sætte to to-personers borde sammen på trods af en halvtom restaurant.
Morgenmaden var nogenlunde, men man skulle betale ekstra, hvis man ville have vand eller en god kaffe
