Hana Lodge

What a beautiful spot. Lovely elegant room with a lovely bathroom - I enjoyed the lovely deep bath after a long day driving. The bed was very comfortable and the sofa was too actually. The staff were really friendly and just lovely. It was lovely to be given a little snack parcel for my drive as I left. Everything very thoughtfully done. Definitely worth the short drive out of Rotorua to stay here!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hana Lodge. The property is beautiful and the surroundings are amazing. We really enjoyed walking around the grounds, especially the bamboo forest and all the statues around the property.

The sauna, pool and spa were great, and our room was exceptional. We loved the interior and all the little details. The chocolates and snacks in the room and at reception were such a thoughtful touch and made the stay feel even more special.

A special thank you to Ta, who was so lovely, friendly and helpful during our stay.

It was very clean and comfortable. However, most importantly the staff was delightful and went out of their way to make sure our experience was wonderful. Truly a gem of a place to stay.

It was peaceful and quiet just what we needed and good quality bedding and bathroom supplies.

I loved the spa and sauna the breakfast included in the pack was also really yummy and the location was a beautiful spot around all the trees

Staff was great, room size and service were world class. The vibes are also pretty nice and the garden is beautiful.

Hana Lodge was set in a beautiful location, quiet and luxurious. Above all though, the staff were incredible. They manage to balance professionalism with friendliness and are a real asset to Hana Lodge.

The grounds are lovely, the spa and sauna well kept and what we needed after a long day of driving.

Our room was so comfortable and the bathroom well sized and well set out.

Gorgeous house, amazing service

Amazing, eccentric and charming property. Bed was most comfortable of our whole three week NZ trip. Just brilliant. Luxurious bathroom with excellent heating. Wonderful friendly staff. Absolutely wonderful. Short 15 minute drive into central Rotorua. Plenty of parking. Loved the quirky design of the building.

Beautiful place with very helpful and kind staff. The room was very comfortable. The garden is full of whimsical sculptures and is peaceful to walk around. Would have loved to have stayed more days and will stay again in the future.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Hana Lodge and absolutely loved our experience. From the moment we arrived, to the sad moment we left, everything felt warm, welcoming, beautiful and the staff took amazing care.

The lodge was comfortable, peaceful, and had such a lovely atmosphere. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, and we really appreciated the care and attention to detail throughout our stay. The hospitality was exceptional, and we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for.

A special mention must also go to the wonderful restaurant team and chef. They were all so lovely, friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely fantastic. Every breakfast & dinner was delicious. You could really feel the care and passion that went into the food and service.

Our two nights went by far too quickly! Hana Lodge is a beautiful place to stay, with wonderful hospitality, delicious food and a truly relaxing & magical atmosphere. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special and memorable getaway. ❤️

Location, being able to go for a walk and explore interesting sites on the property (Bamboo Forest, farm animals, interesting statues/sculptures).
Room was super clean and spacious, comfortable bed, options of a soft pillow and firm pillow, which was great, so there is something for everyone. Lovely and helpful stuff. Yummy Breakfast. Loved the chocolate at reception and on our bed. Also the bowl of fruit at reception was handy. It was a lovely get away, great for a special occasion. We want to come back with our parents one day.

Such a lovely quirky hotel in a peaceful position just 15mins drive from Rotorua. Great facilities especially the outdoor jacuzzis and wooden barrel sauna. The highlight are the staff, nothing was too much trouble, definitely 10/10 for customer service and friendliness, it was a pleasure to stay there

We stayed at villa 403 which was well appointed and the beds were super comfortable. The showers were excellent pressure and temperature. There was milk and juice in the fridge - milk was super yummy! Also had cookies, chips and chocolates on the welcome tray. Breakfast and dinner at the main lodge was fantastic.
