2 nights experience in Tortuguero
Pros:

The location was just a few minutes walk from the main street, breakfast was good and stuff was really supportive and nice with us.
Room was clean and it was tidied everyday considering sand and lots of water during our stay. Overall good value for monday

Cons:

It might seem not being a bit inside compared to the main room to be less secure, but it is not the case.

Hotel is good. Tour company is awful
Pros:

Hotel staff was helpful, room was good value for the price. When we thought we wouldn’t make it due to bad weather they were willing to cancel for free.
Location is good, clean, the maid went above and beyond with the cleaning 🤍
My only complaint with the hotel was how many guests smoke inside the covered area.

Cons:

WARNING: Don’t recommend booking tours through the hotel as Caretta tours (who meets you at the boat) pressured us to cancel an existing tour for the turtles by bad mouthing the company we booked with. They didn’t provide sufficient information on what was required for the tour (ie rubber boots) they told us to wait at the hotel and the guide would meet us. They did not. When we finally answered my attempts to reach them and the guide came back he was extremely rude, and acted as if it was our fault. He then told us there wasn’t time to get boots because we made them late. We couldn’t complete the tour which was the purpose of our trip and there was no options to rebook. We’ve travelled extensively and I’ve never been treated this way by a guide. So disappointed. Please think twice before booking through Caretta tours.

Estancia en los amigos
Pros:

El personal es encantador , la chica de la limpieza una artista haciendo animales con las toallas y todos los días la habitación muy limpia. Nos dejaron quedarnos en los amigos aún estando la reserva en Carey por la piscina, desayuno sencillo pero delicioso, no necesitamos nada más.

Cons:

Necesita que se actualice un poco en general.

Pros:

Ci hanno messo al vicino hotel Los Amigos. Camera molto essenziale ma pulita. Personale molto gentile e disponibile, sempre pronto a venire incontro alle esigenze degli ospiti. Colazione ottima e l’ultima mattina ce l’ hanno anche preparata mezz’ora prima per permetterci di prendere la barca per La Pavona

Cons:

La camera potrebbe essere più funzionale con soli due appendiabiti a muro o due mensole. Non c’erano spazi per far asciugare i vestiti dopo le escursioni sotto l’acqua
