Location was right in the centre of town. Although the sugar boat does not have it’s own parking there is more than adequate parking close by.. Sophia was always bright and cheerful and her attention to detail was great. We had dinner on our first night and the meal was good. Breakfasts were filling and tasty.

The breakfast (which was included in the price of the room) was brilliant. The food at the Sugar Boat was very good, and the breakfast menu did not disappoint.
Fijn bed, alles was op de kamer (thee/koffie, koekjes, handdoeken, shampoo etc). Heel fijn dat je ook beneden kunt eten en ontbijten, zeker een aanrader. Leuk plaatsje met hele leuke lokale markt met allemaal eigen gemaakte producten.
De afzuiging van de keuken maakt behoorlijk wat geluid, gelukkig is dit wel tussen 2300 en 0800 uur uit. Een prullenbakje in de badkamer was fijn geweest.

Possibly to Point out the room at the back had noisy fans from kitchens.. . Obviously turned off at night but back on at 8am...ashame as a lovely cosy wee room.. this could have been reflected in the price as was quite expensive for one night. . Would have been nice to know so I could decided if I was ok with it or not before booking

One of the nicest places we stayed in Scotland. Great central location, right next to a car park. We stayed in the Deluxe King Suite, which was beautifully designed with a brand-new bathroom and lots of attention to detail. Great shower, quality bedding and towels. The food downstairs was the best we had in Scotland — excellent quality. Highly recommend!

tres bel appartement, bien situé en ville et tres pratique.
The staff was incredibly helpful, Sam took our very heavy bags up to our room which was up several flights of stairs. His instructions about keys, the restaurant and everything we needed to know were invaluable. Paul was helpful with transportation referrals. The servers in the restaurant were friendly, efficient, and the food was great too. It seems like all of the staff really worked together to make our stay enjoyable.
It would have been nice to have an elevator but the handrails were helpful and we knew there would be stairs prior to our arrival.
The central location was ideal for shopping. A perfect location to start the John Muir Pathway. Very clean up to date room. It was compact, but comfortable. The restaurant below was fabulous.
