Not my idea of a relaxing break
Pros:

The property was ok and the room was ok

Cons:

Access to the rooms is difficult, if your disabled in any way forget it
Parking is nightmare, if the limited spaces are gone your in trouble, parking at the top of the steep hill. Bring a small car if you’ve got one
No breakfast facilitiy , walk to a cafe or the other pub

Enjoyable short break, in a lovely location
Pros:

Quiet location on waters edge, room very clean and comfortable, friendly staff. Owners very accommodating.

Cons:

Not a dislike, but be aware parking is a good 10 minute walk uphill, if driving to Polruan. Breakfast not available at property at present.

Definitely return - the local walks were surprisingly good / difficult as it’s not flat but the scenery makes up for
Pros:

It was what we expected but the views of the harbour were hard to beat!
The food at the pub was world class, too!

Cons:

Parking is always an issue in villages but that was expected… pack light and carry in / out.

The Lugger is a lovely old pub with rooms looking out on the harbour, its a shame it wasnt a king
Pros:

Location was fantastic, lovely bathroom, beautifully decorated room.
Food in the pub was tasty, reasonably priced and had a good choice.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
When they found out it was our wedding anniversary they gave us a free glass of prosecco!

Cons:

The room was advertised as a deluxe king, but the bed was a slightly small double. Which was a major disappointment. We also hadn't realised there was no parking with the hotel and minimal parking close by. So had to park up the hill after dropping our bags and walk back down, and the same in reverse on leaving.

Relaxing evening away.
Pros:

The rooms have been decorated to a high standard and ours was clean, airy and welcoming, with all the facilities we needed. The staff are great and it is clear to see they are making a real impact since taking over. Make sure to eat in the pub itself as the food was delicious.
