Super friendly staff , clean and great location
I really enjoyed the garden vibes of Hotel Nirvana Garden. The lush greenery and peaceful, homey atmosphere are a nice escape from the busy and sometimes chaotic environment of Kathmandu. It gives the hotel a relaxing character that I genuinely appreciated.
A special shout out to Bhoudry, the day shift security guard, who was by far the staff member who stood out the most during my stay. He was very welcoming, kind, pleasant, and always made me feel greeted whenever I passed by. His hospitality definitely deserves recognition.
The breakfast was also acceptable and enjoyable, with a decent selection to start the day.
The hotel is quite old and I feel it would benefit greatly from refurbishment and some modernization. The bathroom in particular looked rather dated and needed better maintenance.
The hot and cold water system was also inconvenient. It took quite a long time to get the water working properly, and I had to call twice before the issue was addressed.
I also think the bed sheets and bath towels need to be replaced. They looked quite worn and visibly aged, which affected the overall cleanliness and comfort of the stay.
Overall, the garden and peaceful atmosphere are definite strengths, but the property would benefit from refurbishment, better bathroom maintenance, and replacement of old linens and towels.
The breakfast is worse than worst. Location not bad.
Smelly room, no lift and no swimming pool. My son cried after reaching to this hotel as he didnt feel good.
Petit dejeuner copieux et varié le personnel au petit soin
- Location: 15 minutes drive from airport (unless if its traffic or heavy rains resulting in additional 25 minutes). Plus, 15 minutes walk to Durbar Square and is surrounded by several souvenir shops; eateries; money exchange etc.
- Food: Their menu is good. I enjoyed their Jhol Momos; Nepali Khaana Set and Fish Curry with Rice.
- Breakfast: Decent options (some of the items were not suitable for me - personal choice!)
- Breakfast options can be better. If the guests don't like something, they should be in a position to give them something as per their liking.
