Important information:

Based on local tax laws, guests with a tourist visa to Israel are exempted from paying VAT for their reservation. Israeli citizens and residents (""non tourists"" as defined in the VAT law) must pay VAT. This tax is automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation for domestic customers. דיברנו עם בחור מקסים לפני ההגעה ששלח לנו את כל הפרטים שהיינו צריכים והיה מאוד זמין ואיכפתי אלינו. החדר היה נקי וענה ממש על כל הצרכים שלנו, היה שפע של חניה למטה באפור.. אנחנו נחזור לשם!

Well-located small hotel near the promenade with best views of Haifa
Pros:

The hotel is very well-located in the Carmel area of Haifa. It is a nice renovated building on one of the most beautiful streets in Haifa, worth a walk to see the incredible views of the bay, and to see the Ba'hai temple gardens from above. The promenade is close by.

Cons:

Please note that you can hear the nearby road, so if hearing cars is an issue for you, ask for a room in the back of the building.

Good location, funtional
Pros:

I asked for a room *not* facing the street. I got the room facing the street, they moved me per my request after one night. They were responsive.

Cons:

It's a beautiful historical building, but they put some black separations on the balconies to divide it between adjacent rooms. These separations are conspicuously unaesthetic from the outside. That is very pity. The entrance hall door should have been password protected from the outside, but it wasn't, anyone could enter. This did not add to the feeling of security.

Pros:

הגענו ללילה בשישי, קבלנו אישור מבעלי המקום להישאר עד מוצאי שבת ללא תוספת תשלום.
חדר נקי, משופץ ומאובזר היטב, מיטה נוחה, מרפסת נחמדה, מים חמים במקלחת. בעלי המקום עזרו לנו בכל שבקשנו.
בהחלט תמורה טובה למחיר

היו שיבושים בקליטה בטלפונים.
תחילה, כשנכנסנו לחדר היה ריח כימי חזק, כנראה אחרי ניקיון
חלונות לכיוון של כביש ואין בידוד רעשים מספיק
